No, Rafer wasn't an option in the poll. I went for Yao because he was the most consistent over the three games.

    Game 1: Yao, Mcgrady, Brooks
    Game 2: Yao, Artest, Brooks
Game 3: Yao, Scola, maybe Mcgrady

Obviously Yao is the answer. I can't believe he is like 4th in the poll. What are all of you smoking?

Let's sees his over all stats: 19/35, 51 points, 29 rebounds.
Thats 54% FG, 17 ppg, 9.6 rpg. ppg is a bit low, but I'd say he is definitely the player of the week for the rockets.

I was actually just saying that Brooks shouldn't have been the player of the week simply because he isn't capable of making plays and replacing Alston's job. If AB came off the bench and consistently scored 15 points in these three games, that's a different story. But rafer got ousted, and AB did nothing to convince me that he can take Rafer's position in the starting lineup.

Agree, Brooks played bad against Spurs, and bad against Hornets. Yao did it very good against Shaq, good against Chandler and good against Spurs in 1st half. Our 'best' player this week.

These threads are a cool idea ai_111, though i'm going to guess that at the end of the season Yao will have the overwhelming majority of our POW awards (because he deserves them, not for other reasons).

    I voted Hayes.

Shutting down Amare and West is pretty damn hard. And we were doing pretty well against the Spurs, until Hayes went down with that injury.

That's just one game, and Amare was matched against 3 players -- not just Chukie but Scola and Landry as well. he deserve some credit, but not really POW

I don't think any player deserved "Player of the Week" title this time. No one stepped up in the Spurs game. I would suggest the option of "None deserved" be added in your poll.

I'm shocked as I noticed someone still being for her. I'm gonna vote for Aaron Brooks again. But I will still vote tmac if the title is "the weakest rockets player of the week". Tmac gotta keeps this great title all season long.
