Am I the only one in Houston that wants it to get cold? This by far has been a very pathetic and disappointing Winter season. It's 79 degrees/almost 80 in the middle of January..
Neg Rep. The hell with the cold. Seriously though, you're right, it's been really mild. We still have all of January and February to deal with. There hasn't been a big blast of Artic Air from Alaska that has blown down here yet.
This weather sucks. Only good thing was I got to grill today, just finished grilling some wings. But It's freaking January 20th.....and I was sweating out there.
I'm glad I bought all of those damn Texans hoodies. Now I just turn my AC down to 50 so I can wear 'em. This winter sucks ass.
Cold day here in Chicago. Been a pretty warm winter overall though. I think that's the case for most places around the country. http://www.earthcam.com/usa/illinois/chicago/wrigleyfield/?cam=wrigleyfield_hd
When I lived in Omaha, the dry air from the heater - in four different apartments over the years - would actually irritate my eyes, I would usually wake up in the middle of the night to turn it off. So over time I just started driving with out the heater since they were usually short trips, and at some point just didn't need any on during the winter. Also learned that getting sick is usually less about cold weather than it is about drastic temperature changes, allergies or just unsanitary conditions. Without excessive wind or precipitation, cold actually completely clears your head. That being said, I'm sure if I had lived in Minnesota or Canada I'd probably thing differently. Also, tree-lined streets in a suburban enough town during the winter are just beautiful.
Nice and cold today in North Texas, but otherwise, this winter has been the suckiest of the suck in terms of weather. I can't stand 60-70 degree winters. If I wanted that crap, I'd move to Florida and put up with getting my butt kicked by tropical storms every other week. Of course, this kind of scares me to think what the summer will be like. Hopefully it won't be 120 degree weather.
I've been totally fine with 6 months of Spring, and the rain has been awesome. Just hoping the La Nina is coming to an end and maybe an El Nino forming so we can get back to a normal Summer. Go to Memorial Park to see what exactly the drought did. It's sad.
Yep, finally some nice cold weather. Actually shivered out there today when I walked my dogs around midnight.
