18 hour forecast loop of Houston's snow. Most of Houston is in the 1-3 inch accumulation. Still early though.
That would make me move, and quick. Looks so depressing! To go through a whole winter like that? No way...
Here is a pic of my street in Chicago - taken from inside my living room (spoilered for large image size) Spoiler
This type of snowfall is highly unusual for Chicago. We're used to frigid temperatures (well below 0 F), but not so much this amount of snow. The last time there was a storm of this magnitude here was in 1999.
That's exactly what my boss was saying yesterday. His family is still in Chicago and he flies home every weekend. He said it snows often and is damn cold, but it almost never gets to be like what you're getting there now.
Amen, even my dog didn't want to spend more than 30 seconds going outside to do his business so he didn't poop yesterday.
It's only 20 degrees here now, which feels comparatively warm for this time of year, but as soon as the blizzard passes at around 3pm today, a massive cold front is pushing through. Temps tonight will be -8 F, windchills of -30. I'm worried about my wooden patio on the 3rd floor of my apartment. It's entirely covered with more than 5 feet of snow, and once the temperatures drop, it will likely become a solid mass of crunchy ice. Will the patio be able to support this kind of weight?
Pretty much every WHERE? It's gonna be cold. Charlotte? Then I need a jacket! Spoiler Thanks, Arthur.
It's been in the teens in Austin all day (so far). It was 16 degrees early at my house in SW Austin and it's been 18 degrees for hours. Still is. May as well snow!
I just spent an hour shoveling off my walkway, steps, sidewalk and car. While in the street, I was waist deep in snow. It was redonk.
