Dude, my Canada Goose was the first thing I bought when I moved to Chicago in 2007! I'm repping you for that. Best purchase OF ALL TIME. F**k a North Face.
Most people don't enjoy living in places that are colder than their freezers. lol. What hellhole do you live in, btw?
No, I'm afraid not. Nobody's shoveling snow in North Dallas. The roads will be too icy to go to work. I can remote in. No biggie. So... I will not be going into work. Like I said when I left work today, "see you guys Friday.... maybe".
Oh yeah. We were looking at temps in Calgary today and laughing since one of the guys I work with remotes in from there. I saw those temps and just busted out laughing. I once went up there for work and driving by the Rockies and up around Banff was awesome. The guys at the company I was visiting told me to get out of there before September (?) hits (I was there in August, I think).
LOL I don't know about all time, but this thing was worth every penny. And yes, North Face can suck it. I didn't realize until visiting UT recently that it's become as much of a staple of fratty wear as Sperry boat shoes.
It feels like the best purchase of all time when I'm walking down Monroe between Franklin and Wacker in January. I swear, that's the windiest block on earth. I wanted this one, but it was out of my price range:
It's been snowing up here all day in Saint Paul. Probably about 4 feet right now on the sidewalk. God I used to be such a wimp with snow.
^ That's pretty sexy. Yep, that corridor can freakishly cold even during the summer for me. I have to walk six blocks to an office from Clark/Lake. Considering just taking a cab from O'Hare instead of the Blue Line.
If I remember correctly, I have been through 3 ice/snow threats since I've been at UH and campus was shut down each time. They could pull a fast one and close after noon or 1 though...
We're getting a TON of ice/sleet right now in OK, followed up to a foot of snow in a blizzard tomorrow, then a high of 18 and low of -4 on Wednesday. Yeah, really feeling for you guys with your slight chance of snow and high of 42 Friday. Pansies...
The snow for Houston is shaping up to be similar to our recent snows. South of I-10 to the coast may get several inches while areas north like the Woodlands get a dusting. It's Texas' version of NorEasters, a low follows the coast and areas closer to the coast get more snow.
this blows I have class in 1 hour, it has not stopped snowing for 30 hours, and it is -6 degrees outside
I'm not going in to work. I'm sure I could probably make it in but schools are closed and only a few people will be in. There will likely be issues with roads re-freezing over again and again until the moisture is gone.
