I'm guessing that band of snow that's coming from that San Antonio/Austin area will be what limited snow we'll get.
Steady snow's been falling at UT for the last 10 minutes. Students out in the street, car horns honking... classic. The street + tops of cars are already covered.
Snow starting to roll in near Katy/Sugar Land/Missouri City area (west Houston). Just a matter of minutes...
I got off work at 1:00 AM, it took 20 mins to clear the ice (not frost) off my window, i only got a small patch to see through, so i basically drove home blind at 5 mph. I don't know how these yankees do it every winter. This sucks
Forgive me if i'm not prepared for ice in Houston Texas Hell last weekend i went swimming, i think mother nature is drunk or something.
I wasn't saying you are unprepared. I am just saying that is how dumb those guys are. Oh yeah at Christmas I used a credit card. Took forever but your car warms up and the defroster works after a while.
Looks like all we'll be seeing at the most is 1 inch... not really enough to do anything with and it should be gone by 9 am. So much for this "snow storm"... it's funny to watch a lot of these news casts now. Felt like we were preparing for a huge massive storm... now we're going to get some small amounts of snow and icy roads.
I expected it to be snowing when I woke up after sleeping for about 3 hours. Now I can't go back to sleep and still no ******* ****ing snow... and hell even when it'll come.. it'll be gone in a short while. This whole ******* "storm" has been blown out of proportion in Houston. ****ing mother nature, ****ing local news, and ****ing cold, I hate the cold. /rant
Up here around DFW we were expecting about 1-3" where I live and instead we've gotten over 6" of snow. Another day of working from home... yay!
Yup, six inches of snow with ice underneath, I'm staying at home, no way I'm going to work either. As beautiful as it looks, I'm getting a little tired of it though.
In my 42 years in Houston it only snows 1 out of every 25 times they say it will. This is my first winter living near Austin and we got about 1.5" last night. Here's a photo of my Puppy looking down the driveway toward Lake Travis.
It sprinkled a bit a little after midnight last night. If it did snow, it didn't snow enough or cold enough to leave any trace here in The Woodlands (at least in the Indian Springs area).
Live pretty close to my office in greenway plaza, so I was able to make it in without a problem. Roads seem fine (minus the fwys/overpasses). Only reason I came in was because I am going to the superbowl sunday and will use this as an excuse to come in late monday   cool story bro
