Sweet. I get to feel possibly single-digit to 11 degree weather in Dallas accompanied by negative wind chills. I hope the pipes don't explode. lol. Gonna be icy and snowy up here - I think I'll just work from home until the end of the week if the roads are bad.
I've heard people saying that in places like Chicago where it snows a ton, people are still terrible drivers in the snow. Now imagine how good the driving will be when you have a ton of people who have hardly ever driven in the snow?
It's about to get NASTY in Chicago over the next 48 hours. They're saying it might be the GREATEST snowstorm in Chicago OF ALL TIME.
Beaumont holds the state record for most snow from a single storm, 30 inches in a February 1895 snowstorm. That rivals many northern cities for biggest snowfalls. Houston had 20 inches and Galveston 15 from that same storm.
You can't do that. They are keeping the roads clear because of the Super Bowl. So, it's not your typical panic driven ice/snow day. All the roads will be cleared (supposedly). Otherwise, the Super Bowl will take note they didn't do a good job in bad weather and skip us on another bid (like Atlanta ten years ago wasn't prepared for it). They started planning for it six months ago. You're going to work. If I'm going, then you're going. I sh_t you not. lol
Anyone go to UH? Do you think they would cancel classes on friday? I was planning on going home friday and if they do cancel ill just leave Thursday...

Oh that's just great. My firm has me flying out tomorrow morning and returning Thursday. No way I'm ruining my overcoat, time to bust out the Canada Goose..
