Do you think they will be cancelling flights in and out of Houston? I have a flight headed to West Texas Sat morning for a funeral (around 10). Thought about heading out earlier Friday but it seems like the snow will be heavier then.
No offense to you guys (in Houston), because you guys don't obviously get this type of weather often, but its still funny seeing some of you guys "freak" out in subtle way lol.
yes. i had a friday 6am that got canceled earlier tonight. i rescheduled to thursday 10pm. it was canceled one hour later. i'm finally rescheduled to thursday 3pm. fingers crossed.
Nice, now 2-5 inches being said for Houston. Hope we get some of that up in east tx. <object height="288" width="470"><param name="movie" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" value="http://www.khou.com/v/?i=115105079" /><param name="allowScriptAccess" value="always" /><param name="wmode" value="transparent" /><param name="AllowFullScreen" value="true" /><embed type="application/x-shockwave-flash" src="http://www.khou.com/v/?i=115105079" AllowFullScreen="true" allowScriptAccess="always" height="288" wmode="transparent" width="470"></embed></object>
saturday morning should be fine...but continental has already made some announcement about suspending flights in and out of houston beginning this afternoon.
I had a 6:55 flight from Phoenix tonight that was apparently pushed forward to 6:55 yesterday. I think I'll scrounge for something after I'm done with class today.
Hmmmm....driving to Corpus Saturday morning for a gig. Should I be worried or not? The low for Saturday is 38 so you would think everything would be melted off once the sun comes up and since I'm going south, maybe it will get warmer as I go?
i heard one of the weathermen say he thought ice/snow really wouldn't be melted off the roads until late-morning saturday...that whatever melted during the day friday would likely re-freeze over night
Updated accumulation forecast Snow and sleet accumulations of 1 to 3 inches are expected with isolated totals to 4 inches possible. A total of 1/10 to 1/4 inch of glaze is expected in the areas around Galveston Bay.
