The temps will be well below freezing Thursday night when the heaviest precip occurs.

    NWS Discussion

Impacts: the main difference between this event and the winter
weather events over southeast Texas the last couple of years will be the
colder temperatures. Due to the very low dewpoints and
evaporative cooling...temperatures will run 5 to 7 degrees colder
with this event. These colder temperatures will result in a much
higher likelihood of roads becoming iced over

I told my Spanish teacher already there is no chance in hell I'm driving to class Friday if the roads are iced over.

Water lines were frozen this morning. The neighbors' line busted and the entire sidewalk was flooding. Not a good look.

Most shouldn't be worried but you're completely wrong. The snow won't melt until the sun comes up on Saturday.

OK, I was wrong. I HAVE to go to work as I work with emergency management in Houston. This should be fun on those low profile tires.

Anyone else sick of seeing SlandBalla in this thread? He's annoying as hell.

Anyways, I don't have an all wheel drive car. What's better for these slick conditions? FWD or RWD? I'm assuming FWD might be easier to handle but I have never driven on icy roads before so I have no clue.

Can't blame him... he's in the worst part of this storm. What else to do when you're stuck in 2+ ft of snow.

Lol, you are correct my friend!!

I really don't know what it is about HISD and being so senseless and dumb..

My little brother is still in high school and you're right it could be world war 3 happening in the middle of Houston and the superintendent would be calling students homes demanding everyone to go to school.

    It pisses me off man.

Nope. Have you watched the news to see what Chicago is going through. I've never seen anything like that, especially Lake Shore Drive!
