It's been great weather up here for the past month or two. But there's been a lack of rain - only 2 or so good rains in those months, I think. I like the weather, but I'd rather it be in the 40's and 50's with lows in the 30's and no ice/snow. I mean, come on, it's winter!
Actually as of an hour ago the wind switched around to the north and it's a little nippy in shorts and a tee shirt. I told every one this week "If this is global warming, I'm buying a Hummer"
Its been a weird winter here in MN. In mid Dec. it got really cold, into the minuses for a few days, then in Jan. it got really warm with temps often in the 40's (which is very warm for MN Jan.). It was so warm I was doing yard work in the early Jan.. Just last night it dropped like 30 degrees in a few hours and today temps are in the low 20's and set to get colder. If any of y'all are missing a tast of winter feel free to visit Minneapolis. You'll probably get enough winter to last you the whole year just walkng down the jetway from the plane to the terminal.
Does anyone want to buy my jackets/coats and all my heavy sweaters/hoodies? Unfreakinbelievable! No winter whatsoever, not even for a few days in a row? Wow! No, there is no global warming, we're just skipping entire seasons alltogether. BTW, I LOVE this weather!
It's been extremely windy all day here, and that wind is cold. It was nicer yesterday. Tonight is cold and dry (and windy). It fluctuates a lot though. Messes with everyone's sinuses.
Supposedly it is going to snow tonight where I live (middle Tennessee). This may be only the 3rd snow so far but I don't think it is going to stick (it better not as I hate driving in that crap). I could live just perfectly if every day of winter was in the 50's to 60's. Cold weather blows so much.
unlikely. i like cold weather much more than hot weather. granted i don't consider this hot and if this were may-august it would be amazing, but i want my cold. i wanna be wearing a sweater and still feel cold. actually, just give me 55 degrees. 55, overcast, slightly windy is heaven for me. if its the early morning and slightly foggy, even better. granted if it were like that all the time i probably wouldn't like it as much, but every i get that weather i love it. i'm ready for about a month of that right now. now if this crappy winter leads to a mild summer, then i might accept it, but this is Texas so that won't be happening.
In 2002, in Colorado Springs we missed a day of school because of snow....IN MAY!!! It was the week before school ended.
It's even crazier in Estes Park Co.... but yeah that's nutty. That happens when you are a mile+ above sea level
Weather for Detroit, site of Super Bowl XL Saturday Night Blowing snow during the evening...then areas of blowing snow overnight. Snow...breezy...colder. Accumulation 3 to 5 inches. Storm total snow accumulation 5 to 8 inches. Lows 23 to 27. North winds 15 to 25 mph until around midnight...becoming northwest. Sunday Mostly cloudy. A chance of light snow showers. Breezy. Highs 28 to 32. Northwest winds 15 to 25 mph. Chance of snow 40 percent.
Detroit might be the most craptastic place I've been to summer or winter. A whole lot of the city is like a 3rd world country. You should really go see the place, its like a different America.
I was there about 2 years ago. Downtown was very crappy, but I'm guessing they polished it up for the big week.
Were are going to have one huge mosquito problem come springtime. Just one or two nights at about 25 degrees would do the trick.
