I learned my lesson when I was about 16. I was in the passenger side and we smashed into the dividing wall on the freeway. Fortunately I was wearing a seatbelt. Before then I did not always wear a seatbelt, so I was lucky that day. All I got was a sore neck instead of a face plant into the windshield. Now I always wear a seatbelt.
Count me in as one of those people who (a) always wears a seatbelt, and (b) has had a friend die in a car crashf rom not doing it (college roomate died summer after my freshman year in a car accident). If you don't wear your seatbelt, you are stupid.
My GF is a nurse in a Nueral Intensive Care Unit and takes care of people everyday who didn't wear seat belts. They work people!
My condolences...I agree, everyone should were it, even if your just going around the block...I've been in a couple of accidents and I have to admit, the belt does work...
