...we had got rid him this guy 6 years earlier when the team started to get injury prone.

Wow, I'm so surprise none of you guys had called him out yet, but rather you blame it on superficial things like the team is curse or our player are injury prone blah, blah, blah. I say BS!! This KJ guy does not know what the hell he's doing or have a clue about taking the right precaution until, you guess it...when after the fact that the players had gone down.

His biggest problem is the prevention of injury or lack there of. When I was watching the other team, I've notice players wear pads/sleeves/chusion straps...etc but not us, even though we are known to have injuries. What the hell is that? Any types of protective devices will help out the players. I've notice Yao/t-mac used to wear them like 2 yrs ago but not anymore. I guess KJ though it wasn't gonna happen again....wrong!

He would also let players play hurt or have no clue if the players are hurting or not. This is poor communication between them. What does he do on the bench or in the locker room...sleep? If all he does is wait for the players to go down and help them off the court and tape them up, then our problem will continue until he's gone. There's no way around it. This team needs a new medical staff/trainers period. Ok, even if they're not the problem it would be nice just to have some new faces...a fresh start if you will. Look at it this way, tons of coaches are fired and not all of them are their faults for their team's poor play but they were let go anyway just to get a different perspective and scenery and I see it the same way when it comes to medical staffs/trainer. A certain someone in the Rockets org went on to join the Boston Celtics staff and look how they're doing now considering they were plagued by injuries before he had joined them. Get it done Morey!

If he's good enough for Team USA, he's good enough for the Rockets.

Umm people do call him out. And he is probably the most renowned trainer in basketball. But you are right Yao wouldn't have broken his leg multiple times if not for Jones.

Yeah, I know, Keith Jones actually suffers from Munchausen's so he purposely injures our best players.

Kobe has a severe pinky finger injury. I think Laker fans are blaming it on the trainers.

I don't understand your reasoning. Are you saying Keith Jones has been taking a baseball bat to Yao Ming's legs because maybe he owes him a few dollars or something? How is that Yao would not have had these injuries if it weren't for Jones? He's not out there banging bodies with Yao.

Yao is a tall individual and bears a serious amount of weight on his bones and joints. He is abnormally tall and playing a physical sport in which he is taking a serious beating every night he's on the court. To me, that sounds like an issue of genetics and career choice.

Keith Jones also hit Steve Francis with a baseball bat, gave him migraines and distorted his ability to play point guard.

I also think Keith Jones knocked up some of Calvin's daughters too.

Tracy had injuries before he got here.

Ron had injuries before he got here.

Yao is 7'6 freakish injuries will happen to someone that tall.

I don't blame the trainer we just have injury prone players.

What does it make him the most renowned trainer? What is that based on? It is not based on results from the Rockets

The OP fails to mention that it's always the same guys getting hurt.

    Yao
    Tracy
Ron (hasn't been here long, but has previous history)

Other than that, Rafer is hurt occasionally, and Shane never had an injury until this season. Brent is 37. Carl had a bad knee since college. Nobody else is really ever injured.

In other words, it's not Keith Jones.

injuries are part of the game. no team can escape.

if there are 20 teams out there that can go through an entire season without any injury problems, then the op may have a point and we'd hire one of these 20. but i don't think that's the case. mcgrady's back problem happened before he got here; yao's injuries so far have been all freaky accidents minus last year; artest, accident as well. don't think one can be crazy to argue keith jones should have prevented accidents on the court as a trainer.

that said, our team did strike a string of bad luck last couple of years, and it is continuing. this is where the frustration sets in. look at the number of players who have had injuries this year - yao, artest, barry, alston, brooks, dorsey, wafer, and head. that's half of the team.

I would have gotten rid of him a long time ago. Lakers have a great trainer.

Thank you. It's been like that in the NBA since Day One. Seriously though, how much can you really do to prevent injuries? It's not something you can prepare for. Its not like they go through drills where coaches show them how to land if you're about to land on somebody's foot or what to do in case your knees get to close to each other.

Well by the OP's logic you could blame the Lakers trainers for injuries to Bynum,Farmar,Radmonvic, Mihms, and Sasha.
