Good Lord. Anyone ready to eat some crow yet????? Worst part of this prediction is that there were games against the Bulls, Cavs, Wizards, and Pacers still to come, and he still claimed 15 in a row. Wow!
If the Rox don't win Saturday, it's a dangerous possibility, even with a bunch of home games in a row: 15 Dec Miami 18 Dec Portland 20 Dec LA Lakers 22 Dec Milwaukee 26 Dec Phoenix 28 Dec @Golden State 30 Dec @ LA Lakers The @GS game is the only other one this year that won't be considered an "upset" for the Francis-less team.
I didn´t believe it, but now I wouldn´t be surprised if the Rockets keep on loosing. I think it would be great to trade Mobley for Kirilenko, but wouldn´t it be smarter to wait until Francis has a longterm contract before trading Mobley?
In my opinion we have 2 super SGs (Mobley and Torres) and we don't need them both (especially, when Steve's play is quite similar to typical SG play). We have lack in rebounding and defense. So we need better C (for instance Mihm) or good rebounding and good in defense SF (Kirilenko from Utah). We should trade Mobley, because he is more famous than Torres and with his salary he is very attractive on the market - we could get some real good player. I will take Kirilenko (or this type of player, if you know another player like he). There are some reasons: 1) He's just 20 and play on phenomenal level, as so young player. 2) He is outstanding in defense, what is not typical for unexperienced player 3) He is exceptional rebounder and blocker and this ability makes him especially interesting when we have good shooting, but not good rebounding PFs. He'll take dirty work out of them, and then Taylor and Thomas can concentrate on this, what is their biggest advantage - shooting. 4) He's maybe not a supershooter, but, hell, we don't need more shooters. He is average shooter but has long range and he'll develop, I think to Nowitzki's or even Stojakovic's level. 5) His another advantage is the fact, that he was playing such a role yet. He was playing in Europe in CSKA Moscow in first line-up with good shooting PF and C. So he has the experience in that role (I can say more: During playing on SF he was the best rebounder in all Euroleague with 19 years old - can you imagine?) 6) He is relative easy to get now, butit's a question of time. If we can get him, it will be a steal.
I remeber when you first made the prediction. I thought you were crazy but now I see the light is possible that the streak will extend beyond the 15 to maybe 17 or even 19 games. I am really upset now . To top it off no highlight on FSN or ESPNNews or ESPN . Fox went to the Mav thenSpurs thenfooball it hurts so bad now. Basketball GODS save up from this nightmare err err err err err err err err err err err err err
Alright empiric, this is twice in the last week that you have revived this thread after 2 days of inactivity. Superstition is starting to creep in in the land of rabid fans, and I'm sure a lot of us don't want to see this thread anymore. Do you mind not reviving it on your own? Every summer I want to start a thread about how you don't trade your bench wholesale in 3 for 1s, because you need to guard against injuries. However, I am superstitious about mentioning injuries in the summer. Can you imagine if someone had warned about injuries and revived their thread 5 times during this losing streak to say, "unfortunately, I am correct." please....someone make it stop!
I guess he was right. People bashed this dude, but I didn't say anything because they say i was too negative.
The record for consecutive losses is 23. Here is the schedule:- Sat, Dec 22 Milwaukee Wed, Dec 26 Phoenix Fri, Dec 28 at Golden State Sun, Dec 30 at LA Lakers Thu, Jan 3 Detroit Sat, Jan 5 Indiana Tue, Jan 8 New York Thu, Jan 10 at Utah Sat, Jan 12 Denver To avoid the record I think they can beat Detroit.
