haha, pure gold

RA: go ahead steve, find out what they want and be right back on the bench
Steve: i'm leaving guy,s ummm, i might never be back

    Team- (no reaction whatsever)

<<<< I appluade Adelman for playing hardball and not putting Stevie in when the fans chanted his name just to let them know he can't be pushed around. And i don't want steve getting garbage minutes either, if Bobby Jackson "who can't hold stevie's jockstraps" can get quality minutes, then why shouldn't Steve.

But I guarantee you that stevie will play at the next home game, even if Les has to intervene. Although i'm thinking Adelman might put him in a position to make mistakes so as to spite the fans and STEVIE. I just hope he is not that mean

Delusional of what exactly? Delusional because we love a guy that took a HUGE paycut to come play for us, even though he had much larger offers on the table? Delusional because we want to see a guy we've been watching for YEARS play in a Rockets uniform again? Delusional because we want to show our appreciation for a guy that loved this city and us fans so much that he literally BROKE DOWN when he found out he was being traded? The game was over, Francis still has PLENTY of game, and it's gonna be awesome when he gets playing time. Show some appreciation for a guy that loves the Rockets, you rookie. Go troll another message board.

Using Francis' former teammates isn't exactly the best way to prove a point with Francis. Aside from an aging Dream,CB34,Cat and a young Yao, Steve didn't have much to work with at all. Look at the players you listed. Every one of those guys at the time were scrubs. People act like Steve was coaching in those days but in fact it was Rudy T and he favored the ISO. While it's true Steve did a lot of dribbling and ISO, Rudy T played a big part in all of that. It wasn't just Steve but Cat and Moochie were given the ball to break down their man and create also. Rudy was also was known to "let to inmates run the asylum".

I see where this is going.....

    FIRE ADELMAN

    Start Steve :D

    . . . .
    . . . .

If there was a poll at the arena door asking the people who they came to see play, itd be 95% McGrady/Yao/Francis in any combination. Consider that the NBA markets individuals more than teams, and some fans go to see certain players play rather than the team as a whole.

Regardless of his "true" abilities, Francis is still a big recognizable name to people in Houston... If Steve Nash struggled the next couple years then signed back with Dallas, think some of those fans wouldnt want to still see him play?

The timing of the chant was bad. The opponent, flow of the game, and it being a home opener had something to with it also. I doubt it continues on, but you really don't know...

Stupid chant in a game that wasn't a blowout.

The chant was fun and good to hear as it shows the fans support for Francis but I think timing was pretty bad as the Blazers were not put away completely.

The Rockets should have blown out the Blazers so Stevie "FrenchFries" could get some playing time. Kirk too.

My only reply to you is:
Who is to say that inserting someone else into the starting lineup will not increase the +/- level? Why is Rafer considered the "only" man for the job, when we haven't given anyone else a chance. That was my only point, that we should at least give someone a chance to beat rafer out. After all Mike James seems to be doing a pretty good job of it. :D
And believe me there are people on this board who do "Hate" a certain player. And, yes I do mean HATE

Former is the key word here. He is not the player he used to be. Somehow, we all see that when talking about other teams' players but not when it comes to Steve. People get outraged here when someone says that Shaq>Yao but now you're doing the same thing - claiming that Francis>whoever basing it on the past.

I'm all for Steve getting as close to level he once was as possible. That would improve the Rockets (and that is the only thing that matters). But now, you all are basically implying that Adelman has his own agenda. If Steve would help the team win, he would play. The fact that he cannot just shows how far off he has fallen. It's sad but it's the reality. At least at the moment. I'm sure he will play when both Alston and James are struggling.

Stop living in the past and look at the present, Francis is nowhere near as good as he was 5 years ago.

LOL, what a bunch of horse-s#$!
Francis avg'd 24 PPG his last 4 games with the Knicks.
Those are the facts. You're living too deep in the Land of Hate.

Man I never wanted Steve back here in Houston to be honest, but since he was back, I've been nothing but supportive to him. After all.. he is a Rockets. And now that a lot of you are dissing him and the fans... I really want him to start playing again so all of you will shut your mouths once and for all. Seriously.. there's too much hate going on for him.
