I don't know who I want, but I want a coach that can make his "superstar" listen.

Like Woodson can make Carmelo listen.

So I guess the Miami head coach will soon be on the same level?? Miami keeps that core together and no one can beat them. It's not because of some genius coaching its because they have overwhelming talent

Title sounds like the AT&T commercial where little girls says, "We want more! We want more!"

Of course I would like Phil but what makes you think he would even consider coming out of retirement?

& and of teams that would love to have his services why the Rox?

This thread makes no sense to me

You could have said we want Red Auerbach! Even though he has past away.

Yes, we don't have enough talent to be a dynasty but we have what it takes to possibly get into the Finals if coached properly. Yes, good coaches set plays and make game time decisions but most importantly - they manage emotions (chemistry).

Seriously, JVG is a realistic goal and would be a major improvement over Mchale. The only challenge to this is Les Alexander's pride

Erik Spoelstra is a good coach. Whether he will be great is yet to be seen. Pat Riley picked Erik to succeed him. If you don't believe Erik, you should believe in Pat. If Erik cannot do the job, he would be canned by Pat long time ago.

The Trailblazer back in the early 1999-2002 seasons had plenty of talents too, but did they win any championship? Western Final?

I would be excited to have the Zen Master IF we landed Dwight. That's why I picked JVG because we are not likely to have Dwight this offseason.

Either way, both options are largely superior to McHale.

It's unbelievable that so many people want Jeff Van Gundy. This guy is a horrific offensive coach and he runs players into the ground with his small rotations, and he always plays favorites for certain players, and then puts other guys in the "dog house" for no real legit reason.

His coaching style is about 15-20 years out of date. He would be one of the worst hires they could make.

JVG's commentary during the Rockets/Lakers game clearly shows he wants to return. And wants nothing to do with D12.

Maybe Battier comes back on vet minimum!!

JVG, Josh Smith, Tony Allen, Battier summer please.

No way he's coming to us but you'd have to be insane not to want him or JVG over McHale.

This thread is full of ignorance.. And where did the Morey hate re-surface?

JVG and Phil were known for Iso ball. Tmac and Kobe(especially Kobe) dribbled out the shot clock plenty.
JVG ran a half court offense with a dominant big man. This team does not have that.
PHil ran the triangle offense which also needs a great post player.

    Keep hallucinating CF.

When did Luc Longley a dominate big man or even a great post player?

Do you think Jordan, Pippen, Kobe and Shaq will be who they are without Phil Jackson? I doubt it.

The best players only become their best under the best coach. Best players like the best employees, does not bring out their best under mediocre coach.

As a fan, I do see a lot of potential for Harden, Lin, Parson and Asik. With the right coach, they can each dominate in their position. Unfortunate, I do not see how McHale will able to do it. I think it will come to a point either Rockets keep McHale or keep the players.

What ever . Overall, Morey has been a very good GM. He is thought well of around the league. That's a pretty ignorant opinion.
