I wouldn't of gotten rid of Adelman. Great coach, got rob of a title by the refs and Jordan.

How about we sign Phil and sign Howard also. Then Phil will have what he had in LA but much Younger and Better TEAM. he will have his SG and C stars.

    PG: Fisher Vs. Lin
    SG: Kobe Vs. Harden
    SF: Metta Vs. Parson (Better)
PF: Gasol Vs. Jone, TRob, Donut
    C: Shaq Vs. Howard

    Thats calling a Championship Contender.

I want JVG. Phil's triangle offense needs a legit super star PF. he won't work with our current lineup.

Getting Phil is the only way they will get Dwight.

You think the mental midgets on this Rockets team have the aptitude to learn this offense?

THIS. Les & Morey have forgotten more about basketball than Phil Jackson ever learned by lucking his way to 11 rings with rosters full of shaqs & jordans etc.

Better to stick with a slightly less pedigreed coach who is willing to implement the Les/Morey vision.

ISO the play we ran about 100 times last night. Hey you dribble around, we will all stand here and watch you dance and shoot the 3 if it doesn't work pass me the ball with 2 seconds left on the shot clock so I can shoot the 3 instead.

    ****n AAU playground basketball play.

Morey would be out of a job if Phil came here. If Phil comes back to coaching, he's going to have a lot of control. If he coached our team, it wouldn't be good for Morey.

Yes. Only reason why McHale got the job because he is a yes man. The front office has 2 choice, 1) keep McHale so we never see round 2 of playoff despite all the talents we have, 2) get a respected coach and allow the coach to run his system and develop the players.

Phil Jackson's triangle will work for Rockets because we are young and able to run.

I can see Phil coming to us at a position similar to pat Riley then when mchale starts to fail we fire him and Phil comes in similar to the heat when they had wade and shaq didn't Riley join the team later in the season and then they ended up winning the championship

This move can determine how serious we as a organization are about being championship contenders if we hire Phil we instantly become more attractive then what we already are more attractive for media free agents etc. this move if we hire Phil we say to the media, city, and NBA we are serious about winning a championship the least morey and les can do maybe even mchale included is have a conversation with Phil

I agree and have agreed for quite some time that our coaching strategy is absolutely atrocious, but you're solution to replace a mediocre HC with a borderline playoff team with only 1 star is to somehow make one of the best head coaches of all time take our offer.

This thread is simply stupid just because of that simple fact there.

We have a better shot at luring Red Auerbach out of the grave and handing him the reigns.
