true people have the right to chant whatever they like, true the team is playing really bad right now but we are still a .500 ball club,i remember t-mac's first season with the rockets and the team was not doing so well but we tsick with the coach and made some changes.why do people overeact like that .give coach adelman a chance, give the team a chance .they can click at any moment.we are not even halfway into the season.chillll
yeah right. With all due respect to the rowdies you didn't start half of the "We want steve" so get over yourself.
Nice job "fans". What we need right now is another distraction. And if you think a chant like this isn't a distraction, then I guess you think those guys are a bunch of robots.
Get over it. Van Gundy is gone (adios!) and Rick Adelman is our coach. When we start winning games some of you are going to feel pretty silly.
What kind of men do we have as players on this team? Depending on Adelman to motivate this group, getting beat by Utah in the playoffs last year and Yao, Francis and MAc not getting out the first round ever should motivate them enough to play hard. What a bunch of puzzies, I can even remember when the rockets fans were cheering fire Van Gundy, fire Van Gundy! What gonna be next? Fire Phil Jackson, or fire Gregg Popovich!! Doesn't matter who coaches a loser a loser has to find himself as a winner himself if that doesn't happen then coaching is irrelevent!
What a great idea to confuse the team even more. They need to break their habits and start doing what the new system requires. Now you tell them the old system (which will never come back) is better?
For the final time, the Rowdies had no part in the "We want Steve" chants. Last year, the Rowdies had no part in the "Utah Sucks" chant in games 5 and 7.
Actually, I was in the same section watched several Rowdies take part in Steve chants (not started by them), in the Bucks game, for certain. Additionally, going back to last year, the Rowdies have done enough "we want ____" chants that crying off the Steve one is a bit silly. All this said, chanting for Gundy is dumb (globally in regards to fans). Don't set yourselves against the team. The worst thing you could ever do is develop resentment within the players towards their home crowd. You're better off booing poor performances. Evan
Thank you. I liked JVG, but chanting for him now seems stupid since we are supporting the Rockets. Chanting "quitter" at TMac also seems stupid since he's one of our best players. What purpose does it serve other than to get TMac mad at some fans? Maybe the dude is hurt.
I'm not sure how I feel about the coaching situation... I did like Jeff, and I think we might be better off with him right now (possibly even much better), but I'm still not sure how much Adelman is to blame for what's going on right now, assuming blame really even needs to be placed yet. I know nobody wants to hear it anymore; we all just want to see some results right now... but we need patience. There is obviously an adjustment period and steep learning curve here. With all that said... It would be interesting to see this chant just to see how (if at all) JVG would react to it, heh.
Well, I think you need to keep in mind who's on the team when considering the coaching talent. Sure, we started 6-1, but teams have made an adjustment and now we're getting destroyed. Where's RA's adjustments back? Those Portland teams had a Hall of Famer playing his best basketball plus a lot of nice talent around him. JVG is great at making adjustments. That Knicks team that went to the finals was pretty weak. Remember our record last year with Mutumbo starting in place of Yao? Sure, the players stepped up, but there was great coaching in there too. And, the respect and love for the coach serves as a lot of player inspiration. Anyone want to predict this year's record in the same situation even with more talent, e.g. Scola? We can't even win at full strength.
i guess i was the 3rd member of y'all's club. i used to like Tracy just as much as the next guy, but performances (his & Kobe's) speak for themselves.
