He was yea and he's obviously better than FVV as a player, but I didn't count him because of his baggage and he was never a realistic option for us.
He ain't better man. He just lucky he got to ride Lebrons coattails. If Lebron never came back to Cleveland Irving's career would be very different. If you take out that stretch where he played with Lebron, Irving hasn't really done anything except be toxic and put up empty stats.
Which players are you talking about? I'd rather have FVV than Kyle Lowry. This is only a short 3 yr window without getting stop gap guys like FVV or Lopez who will get us wins we won't be able to attract FAs...assuming that even makes sense cuz all our guys gonna be up for extensions in 3-5 yrs.
This year's free agent list is mediocre and we got the best free agent in a position of need (or someone preferred Kyrie Irving). On the other hand, no quality free agent would come to a team under construction if the economic offer is not attractive. Welcome to reality!
Another 5 years to snif.500? If this is the case after tanking 3 years to suck for another 5 years or not even be in the playoffs picture then they should just go ahead shoot themselves in the head.
I don’t mind the FVV contract as long as Lopez comes with it Don’t really care for getting Dillon Brooks
24 hours ago Kelly Iko posted this: Ahead of the beginning of free agency, Houston’s brass traveled to Los Angeles to set up camp and prepare for a number of meetings that will take place over the next few days. At the outset, they will meet with with wing Dillon Brooks and center Brook Lopez, league sources say. They also hope to meet with Van Vleet and his representatives. In addition, the Rockets are expecting to meet with Kyrie Irving, those sources add, and also have strong interest in Bruce Brown who is said to have a good relationship with Udoka. In Brown’s case, Houston would be prepared to go over the mid-level exception to land his services, according to sources briefed on the matter. Other big man targets include Dwight Powell and Jakob Poeltl. Jordan Clarkson, who reportedly picked up his option for next season, is also of interest. A meeting with forward Kyle Kuzma has also been mentioned as a possibility Because of their spending power in the market, the Rockets are confident in landing the targets they desire. However, the Rockets will prioritize shorter term contract Brooks Lopez Powell Clarkson TBD Strong interest in Bruce Brown - doesn't seem like they got a meeting Expecting to meet with Kyrie - he re-signed immediately Poetl - re-signed immediately Vanvleet - had to overpay and break the "short term contracts" priority , but better than nothing Possible meeting with Kyle Kuzma - re-signed immediately The Rockets always project confidence via Iko that they're on the right track. It's consistently hard to match this confidence with the on-court product.
Oh well gee… I guess I missed the memo where Ime said we were done and his vision has been fully realized… I think there’s still a trade or 2 on the horizon…
We talking video games or real life? I remember last preseason when people were writing down our depth chart over and over as if our fake depth was the reason we'd make the play in tournament. Stay calm.
Hard disagree. The overall level of conversation has absolutely plummeted since those days. The good posters get driven out by mindless drivel, but the mindless **** spewers never leave because there's no down vote to silence them. The prominent Harden haters are prime examples.
How old were each of us when we realized the Rockets are very unlikely to win another championship in our lifetimes?
