    I'm reallllly kind of okay to go into the season just adding some good role players and keeping most of this core together this season becaues it gives us better chance of unloading contracts for a run at LeBron pipedream. I REALLY want Melo, but as a buyout. Trading for him? That might be a crippling move that puts in a position where we cant make moves to fill out the roster. Whatever happens, i don't want a situation where we have to start a Matt Maloney type of player and our bench is an average age of 40.

    Can we just buy him out lol, I mean I'm sure Ryno is aware Houston has focused a lot of energy on trying to figure out a way to get rid of him. Would he be happy to come back, I mean players come back after a failed trade, but this is probably like 10 hypothetical trades that are not going through if I know Morey. If we are willing to drop $300mm to pay CP and Milsap until they are 37 years old and increase the risk profile, then why not just buy out Ryno. Les is heavily invested in the market and in real estate, both have likely doubled his net worth in time since we acquired Harden. He really wants to win now, just buy the guy out $60mm :eek:

    That would be a hell of a buyout! I'm really not familiar enough with the CBA to know what other repercussions there might be for doing that. What else could happen? It's been 22 years since we celebrated a Rockets championship....

    Morey was a moron to offer Ryan Anderson that contract.

    No one wants to touch it now.

    Not sure what he was thinking to tie up the salary cap on that scrub.

    Took him the playoffs to realize his mistake.

    Now we are going to waste Harden + CP over this guy.
