yea lets get lucky enough to get a maybe top 3 or top 5 pick and get an awesome young/athletic playmaker at pg and trade him away and bring back stro for some athleticism at the pf position lol
haha, exactly. When I read his posts I always wonder whether he is r****ded or my mind just isn't developed enough to understand the true meaning of his posts.
Houston is last in the league in fast break points and they don't know why. Isn't it obvious? Look at the starting lineup. First, when we have a rebound, we don't push the generally. Second, we have TMac who walks up the court and a lumbering Yao. Third, of those who may be running (Battier, Alston, Hayes), none can finish well at the rim. Fourth, many teams score on the fast break on of two ways: drive to the basket (dealt with in the case above) or penetrate and kick out to an open shooter. Since Alston is driving, most teams don't worry much about him so they only need to guard Battier since he's the only one who can shoot from the outside. So our lack of a fast break is due to laziness (TMac), lack of athleticism (Yao), the lack of players who can finish or hit open shots (all the rest). Pretty simple, huh? Without easy points, we're going to always struggle. But it doesn't matter, it is well before the All Star Break and Rick Idleman is teaching the Rockets how to play basketball.
Yao should rebound and outlet, most of the team's problems rest on the shoulders of one player named Tmac. He is not running the system, and is dominating the ball too much, sure he passes, but we need him to play OFF the ball more often, and he just isn't doing it. Tmac has to buy in or this season is a waste of time. DD
