has anyone really studied this guy...he is a losing cancer that would not have fit in to a winning program.

It would have helped my opinion of any future Rockets draft picks/trades/free agency signings. Right now I remain skeptical of anything the Rockets do.

OMG, you're comparing Rudy Gay to Battier? That's the biggest mismatch of the century. Battier can't do anything on the offense, and defense he only knows how to take charges. He's worthless.

    Winning program?

This isn't college and we stop winning once playoff starts.

Show me someone who will take Battier over Gay now, and I will show you a liar.

Why take athleticism and skill over intangibles?

Battier is justa shadow of his former self! He does not deserve to be starting. he is just so poor on both ends of the floor, with the exception of about one great defensive play every six games. :p

Don't you get the memo that intangibles beat everything in today's NBA?

    Wrong, wrong, wrong!

People thing Wafer is amazing on the Rockets. Imagine Rudy Gay playing Wafer's role and then some on this team. He's like Von x10. In reality, Rudy Gay was exactly what this team needed. A young athletic wing who can score and take to the rack and finish strong. He would've taken some of the scoring burden of Yao and T-Mac. He would've thrived playing off of those two as well. Most importantly, he would've kept the window of opportunity open a little longer.

What did we get in his place? Glue that won't even stick.

I've challenged anybody to show me a team that will give the Rockets a Rudy Gay type player or a lottery pick for Battier.

Gay has more turnovers per 48 minutes of crunch time than anyone else in the league. Dead last.

Battier hasnt won much since he's been in the league either.
