Head explode. The West is way too ****en tight. If if if, blah blah blah. I just like how we have one less win than LA/NOH yet we are in the 5th seed.

    Just play the best;

i hope the Lakers lose tomorrow. that puts the Rockets in the driver's seat to control their destiny. I don't want to rely on the Kings having to beat LA on the last night of the season.

I would rather the Kings play spoiler to the Spurs as they did tonight against the Hornets. and if that doesn't happen, the Jazz can be the backup plan to beat SA.

If SA is in any tie with the Rockets the Rockets lose. If LA is in any TB with the Rockets, LA loses.

The one seed I don't want is the 3rd seed. Even though we've played better against the Suns, and even though I think we could beat them, I would much prefer to play the Nuggets/Warriors, Mavs, or Jazz in the first round.

    So I want the 1st, 2nd, or 5th seed.

You actually want the Spurs to lose and then we control our destiny to at least get the #2 seed. If LA wins out and we win out, the Rockets get the #1 seed. If we win out, the Lakers lose to the Kings, and the Hornets win out, we're the #2 seed. If we win out and the Hornets lose just one game and the Spurs lose at least one game, we are the #1 seed with home court over everyone.

We need the Spurs to fall one game back of us. Them losing to the <STRIKE>Kings</STRIKE> Spoilers or to the Jazz would also work. We could also get the benefit of the three team tie break scenario with LA, NO, and the Rockets if the Lakers win tomorrow.

Just going over the schedule, even if we lose to Utah, we could still win it all ...

    IF ... HOU beats DEN
    IF ... SAS beats LAL
IF ... HOU loses to UTA
IF ... SAC beats SAS (in SAC)
    IF ... LAL beats SAC
    IF ... DAL beats NOH
    IF ... UTA beats SAS
    IF ... HOU beats LAC

You have to put Sacramento into the equation now ... :)

I dont want the Spurs to lose . I want the Lakers to lose. that's what I want.

I want the Rockets to win out, the Lakers lose tomorrow, the Spurs lose to Kings, and the Hornets lose to Mavericks.

I think it needs to be a GARM rule for the rest of the season: They are now to be called the Sacramento Spoilers, and they are without a doubt my second favorite team right now!

Lakers beating the Spurs guarantees that SA doesnt mess up our seeding options. Spurs in any sort of TB with Houston gives the edge to SA. I'll take the known result of one game vs a bunch of other games going our way.

Yeah. I wonder if the officiating was as bad (both ways) in their recent wins as it was in the Houston game.

Sorry, mate. I'm trying to read too many posts at once and replied a bit too quickly.

I know you know the drill for us to get a #1 or #2 seed.

I'll take the Lakers losing over all of the above.

the tiebreakers are too confusing. my scenario will be the easiest path to the #1 seed.

    :)

Actually I see being great at home a huge advantage for Utah. They have lost 4 home games all year. They are a near lock to win at home. That means all they need is one upset in 4 games on the road. Winning 1/4 of their games on the road is a worse ratio than their actual ratio on the road this year. I fear the teams dominant at home more than I do the teams good both but not great at either.
