My biggest problem with Yao and T-Mac is their health. You can`t trust either of them to be there in the playoffs. Other than that: - we haven`t found a way to involve Yao in the Offense late in games and basically when he is fronted... yet we still try to for the first 15 seconds of the shot clock - Yao turns the ball over too much - Both of them slow the game down significantly - T-Mac doesn`t feel comfortable in the pass and drive offense - Yao isn`t very effective from the high post But I don`t see us trading Yao (he basically is a money printing machine). It would be a very bold move to trade away the all-star talented and highly lucrative big man... but it could really help us in the end to get a Brad Miller kind of player, and a Kevin Martin/Joe Johnson. This team could run and gun, play the Adelman offense and have a legitimate go to guy...
I agree to some extent. Right now the team is playing great, fun-filled basketball and everything is la di da. We're 4-2 and our team plays their hearts out every single minute they are on the court. We don't want that to change. Problem is, we STILL need someone that takes over games. Yes Brooks has had a incredible maturation during this off season and yes Ariza is better than we expected but when the play-off race starts and teams get there act together (POR, SA, NO) and start playing like their suppose to, we will need a superstar. Hopefully Tracy comes back and delivers. But for right now, I agree. "Will Yao fit in the system", "Who is the odd man out when T-Mac comes back", "when will T-Mac comeback" threads are not needed right now because we all know that they turn into a mess. The negativity on this board is incredible, I'd swear reading the GARM, we'd have a 2-5 record..
stop this novelty please. how do you only talk about "team" work on a sports message board without talking about individual players, especially star players?
