i don't think A-Train's trade really happened. I think he was just joking guys b/c i punched it in on Real GM and my computer exploded.
Nu uh, I checked it out on Real GM, it works. All bow down to Real GM! Clearly, the end all and be all of trade discussions the world over.
You must have one of those Apple Powerbooks. Don't trust Yao - he's a snake oil salesman. Semi-seriously, TMac will only be traded if he demands it. In an auction, we'll probably be outbid (Mavs, Kings, Lakers, Blazers, etc.). However, an Orlando team that starts: Francis Mobley Grant Hill (yeah right) or scrub off the street Juwan Howard Cato That's an instant contender in the LEast.
And make his arms 6-foot long so that he can dribble the ball really well and get all the rebounds without even jumping...
If God were to take a day off and the universe is thrown out of whack for a day, and we somehow get T-mac, how would people feel about him becoming the #1 guy on the team while Yao becomes the 2nd option? Would YOF want Yao to be traded to a team where he's the #1 guy?
this trade!!!! T-Mac and Rod Strickland to Houston for Mobley, SF, and Cato. T-Mac has 1 year left on his contract. Orlando isn't doing anything. I think Orlando becomes a powerhouse in the East with those players while the Rockets get a superstar that's willing to sacrifice and play with a post presence such as Yao
All you have to do is ask yourself the question: If you were Orlando, would you trade T-Mac? didn't think so
I think I posted this one before: Houston trades: SF Bostjan Nachbar (2.9 ppg, 1.2 rpg, 0.6 apg in 10.9 minutes) SF Eric Piatkowski (4.8 ppg, 1.6 rpg, 0.5 apg in 17.0 minutes) SG Cuttino Mobley (15.3 ppg, 4.3 rpg, 3.2 apg in 39.5 minutes) C Kelvin Cato (6.2 ppg, 7.5 rpg, 1.0 apg in 27.3 minutes) PF Maurice Taylor (11.9 ppg, 5.9 rpg, 1.3 apg in 28.2 minutes) Houston receives: SG Tracy McGrady (27.0 ppg, 6.0 rpg, 5.6 apg in 39.6 minutes) SG Grant Hill (27.0 ppg, 6.0 rpg, 5.6 apg in 39.6 minutes) Change in team outlook: -14.1 ppg, -14.5 rpg, and -1.0 apg. Orlando trades: SG Tracy McGrady (27.0 ppg, 6.0 rpg, 5.6 apg in 39.6 minutes) SG Grant Hill (27.0 ppg, 6.0 rpg, 5.6 apg in 39.6 minutes) Orlando receives: SF Bostjan Nachbar (2.9 ppg, 1.2 rpg, 0.6 apg in 33 games) SF Eric Piatkowski (4.8 ppg, 1.6 rpg, 0.5 apg in 27 games) SG Cuttino Mobley (15.3 ppg, 4.3 rpg, 3.2 apg in 47 games) C Kelvin Cato (6.2 ppg, 7.5 rpg, 1.0 apg in 46 games) PF Maurice Taylor (11.9 ppg, 5.9 rpg, 1.3 apg in 41 games) Change in team outlook: +14.1 ppg, +14.5 rpg, and +1.0 apg. TRADE ACCEPTED Due to Houston and Orlando being over the cap, the 15% trade rule is invoked. Houston and Orlando had to be no more than 115% plus $100,000 of the salary given out for the trade to be accepted, which did happen here. This trade satisfies the provisions of the Collective Bargaining Agreement. ----------- Taking on Grant Hill's contract might be what might convince Orlando to do a trade...and, to come back to the thread starter's suggestion...what if we could keep Francis in the process... Orlando would have a core to build around that could even make the playoffs in the East...and plenty of cap space soon...right now, they are stuck. We would still need an upgrade at PF, BUT, even assuming Hill does not ever play again, we would have... PG: Francis (M. Jackson) SG: McGrady (Francis) SF: Jimmy Jackson (A. Griffin) PF: Padgett (Weatherspoon) (ugh) C: Ming (fat backup scrub that we would sign to back up Ming) Assuming we could get a decent PF with the MLE next season...
LOL. No...No... Don't bother about it! Just seek out the DNA's of M.J, 'Dream', then clone four Jordan, one 'Dream',pushing them on the court. That's OK.
