Gerald got steady min. in Dallas with josh howard being out and you know what he did?

He played his way right out of the rotation. He went from getting 20 min a game to dnp-cd against the hawks.

He does not have the basketball Iq or the work ethic to play in the nba. If anything he needs to go over to Euro league where they practice over 4 times a week and learn how to play team ball.

i miss Charles Oakley....He was the athletic enforcer at C we need now....

i miss Charlie Ward ....He was the PG we could count on to hit shots and make good passes to Yao....

i miss Terence Morris....He was a better version of Mcgrady with fire and passion and played hard all the time...

i miss Vin Baker.... he was like all the good of Landry, Scola & Hayes in one player who wasn't undersized...

You can see yet another down fall from Gerald Green. It was obvious, even though he was shining earlier in Dallas.

Why? He charges in to the paint. Literally just charges without considering passing out or making some moves to get pass his defender. He just charges and exploits his athletism to score. Is that a good thing? Depends, cause he did score a lot like this, but does this help his team win? NO.

Gerald green is limited. His HIGHEST season average in assists is steady at 1.0, and that was the most games he played as well as the most minutes, at 22 MPG.

If Green can't manage to get above 1.0 assist in his 5 year career playing as a guard, then we he has a huge problem.

Right now in Dallas, he averages 0.7 assists, but only on very limited minutes so I don't blame him. All Gerald needs to do is stop shooting, stop charging in the rim, and start playing team basketball.

Although it seems a bit harder than usual for him to do even just that.

Um, yeah. Are you DD, who said Gerald Green was the key to the Mavs season?

Anyone else notice the Mavs are 6-1 since Green was glued to the bench?

A coincidence? Perhaps the key to the Mavs season is keeping Gerald Green out of games until scrub time. Guys like Green cannot be successful in the NBA.

I never said that...come on....I said he would be the rotation by seasons end, and would benefit by playing with Jason Kidd.

I don't need people lying about what I said.....I say enough already.

    :D

i kinda agree with you. lots of people said he is the typical "brainless" athlete type. I admit he used to be, but i've watched several of his games this season, i think he is on the right path. Although the ball still stops in his hand most of the time, but he does that well also. He's been shooting fine, attacking the rim aggressively and willing to take contacts. with J-kidd in the roster, he is supposed to be more of a finisher than a passer. As a player abandoned by several teams, his "selfishness" is understandable. also he is still young, has no serious injury like Darius Miles. so I don't think we should deny such a young athlete with potential so early.

with that said, I am content with Von Wafer now. Gerald might be better, but maybe it is as what he said, cut by the Rockets woke him up and helped him grow up. ;)

    Fearless??? Green is not fearless.

It doesn't matter if he gets it or not because irt won't be anytime soon. He may get it in like 3 yrs, but we needed someone to contribute now and he wasn't ready. Wafer is probably the type of player he'll become next, but not soon, not sure if he'll continue improving after that or not.

Azubuike, definitely wish we would have kept him...
