I swear I'll always associate Brooksball with that. At that time, I remember reading the thread and then looking up at the standings, then realized that the Rockets could play like a lottery team the rest of the way and still have no shot at missing the playoffs. Then went WTF!?

I drafted him in 2K10 and he turns out to be a star in the game... so why not real life?

I think it would be a sneaky great move to select Eric Bledsoe to play point.. hes considered to br a slight project at point since he played 2 guard but thats only cuz they had a guy named Wall manning point.. he often looked like the best PG on the floor during the combine and he can already shoot good he just needs to refine his skills as a point guard and he could sit behind AB/Lowry and play some SG too and then be the starter in short time.. think Russell Westbrook effect it could work out great.. u can actually jus trade AB/fillers and get a big and move Kyle to the starter and bring along Bledsoe slow enuff where he grasps the position well enuf and then give him the reins.. I think that scenario would be incredible

Maybe. That would certainly be a typical Morey surprise.

He looks like a great catch but unless we get rid of Battier and Ariza there's no need to draft him ..

Right now I expect Morey to be all ove a sleeper I really wont be surprised if we see Greg Monroe ..

I wouldn't be too surprised that after all the big "big" talk that the Rockets draft a PG. I like Mikhail Torrance, especially if the Rockets move the pick (he'd be a reach at 14). I also like Terrico White, but I think he may be moving upwards in the draft and they may need to take him at 14 if they really want him. Both Torrance and White are big PGs; Torrance plays even bigger than 6-5 and either would be a good complement to our small PGs.

One thing for certain, if the Rockets have any reason to think they will be able to get Bosh, or that Hill will develop faster/better than anyone in this draft, the team would be better served looking at the point. Certainly going for BPA.

    Fail Fail Fail Fail.

Thank you for revealing to the board you, in fact, do not watch college basketball.

I've never seen him play, but he sounds like someone else on the team. Maybe we can nickname him the "Black 'Black Joe Johnson'".

true.. we'd definitely have ood options at point when we select considering if we dont move up.. big pg's are the new wave recently at that sorta combo style and we dont need to be at a disadvantage anymore when playin the elite guys Deron Rose Westbrook etc

If DM's target really is bledsoe, picking him at 14 wouldn't be sneaky, it would be stupid. Bledsoe's projected as a late 1st rounder. You don't pick him at the 14th slot, you trade down the pick and get something else, maybe a another player or a couple more draftpicks.

I know DM Is really good at this, but I'm going to be so sad if we trade down.

Maybe we should start taking trainers in the 2nd round.. injuries kill us more than anything else.

Will this be another guy like Andersen that I see playing and instinctively say "oh ffs"?

I probably should have started a new thread about this but it is on subject but here goes:

Since there are no guarenteed quality Big men in this draft I believe we may be better off trading our 2011 pick, maybe trading down this years pick, and throwing in Budinger or Taylor for a young Center like Roy Hibbert from the Pacers or Hasheem Thabeet from the Grizzlies. Drafting a big man just because of need might not produce anything that could help us this year and maybe next and put too much pressure on Yao to hold down the Center postition all season long.

I know everyone including myself has a man-crush on Budinger but his production could be replaced alot easier than a quality Center. Thabeet being labeled a bust is a joke and he could turn out to be a steal in the future and I really like what Hibbert showed towards the end of the season with the Pacers.

Letting go of Budinger could allow Jermaine Taylor the ability to get in the rotation and make a name for himself. Jermaine has shown alot of potential and just might need the opportunity to get some playing time to blossom.

Nobody knows exactly what we are going to get out of the draft this year and next but in 2012 those first round picks could be cruicial to rebuilding. In my eyes that is the year to stockpile draft picks in case of needing to rebuild with young prospects.

    Brooks/Lowry
    Martin/Taylor
    Ariza/Battier
    Scola/Hill/Hayes
    Yao/Thabeet
    + draft pick

-Its not a championship team necessarily but we could make a run in the playoffs and match up better with teams like LA with our size and also play small ball with teams like Phoenix with Hill at Center.

I should say, makes sense to me, as a solution to the particular problem of getting a backup center. We still have other moves we should be making, and I would like to see moving up in the draft to take an unspecified hot young stud as one of them.
