Here's a good summary of where Wiseman is at currently I think he has no chance of getting significant minutes with Detroit with Duren, Bagley, and Stewart in front of him. Yes, they are a bad team, but they're a bad team with a lot of centers. Not sure why they traded for him in the first place. He's very raw and needs a lot of coaching and development and to at least have a shot at earning backup minutes. Maybe that's not with us, but I'm not going to completely write him off yet.
Rockets should send Landale to the gleague to his legs under him and his confidence up. DMO went down when he was getting playing reps with the big boys and it helped him out
Yea, gotta admit Landale has been so awful I’d trade him for Wiseman. Maybe Udoka can get him to focus on defense. I don’t think he can be any worse than jock.
True, but with an intelligent, hard working team like ours, I can’t imagine Wiseman ever playing. I think it is probably going to be a vet. Andre Drummond fits the 15mpg bill.
It always hilarious how fans can't accept that a highly drafted player sometimes just sucks. Can't succeed on a contender or get minutes on a terrible team...but he'll be great for us.
Ime has miracle worker status, doesnt he? I mean, any NBA player will flourish under his leadership, right? We should have kept Nix, he would be a star by now.
It's crazy how the Warriors had that pick to begin with and then drafted this guy. The Daishen Nix of centers.
I would be happy to have someone that's at least 6'10", athletic, and is a good rebounder. IMO he doesn't need score too much, just play great defense and rebound.
Wiseman is one of the least talented players in the league. He is on the worst team and like 43rd option for that team. What are we talking about? Is this a kind of draft position fetish going on?. He should be out of league by now with that godawful instincts, hands and non existent IQ. He can not even play in europe. Coaches would murder him. Heck I would even take Kai freaking Jones just to give up on Wiseman LOL. HARD HARD PASS.
Is be happy to get him. The talent is there. Ime and this staff has done wonders for the guys here, and maybe could do the same for Wiseman. It's like it better in the off-season though to give the staff more time before actual games.
Wiseman is the exact kind of guy we DON'T need. We already have our franchise center, and we already have several young guys we need to focus on developing. We're talking about backup center y'all on a team with a 6'11 power forward. What we need is a seasoned vet like Drummond or someone similar -- a guy who knows his role and can suck up a few minutes without being a liability.
How do you know he is better than Landale? At least Landale can defend somewhat. Why we need a center who is injury prone, can't score except on dunks and is also a bad defender? You realize we had JRE right? JRE was 10x better than Wiseman.
