It took a miracle shot by Brewer and a lucky bounce and a three by Thornton to pull off wins against the lowly Blazers and the Knicks. Barely beat the 0-16 Sixers. So WTF is management still doing with the same coaching staff or same group of players? What are they waiting for
They were waiting for someone to articulate the situation as clearly as you just have. Now the dominoes fall...
Even if we go 3-3 tonight JB's record this season is better than Mchale's. Anyway Basketball is sometimes a game of luck. For instance GSW being miraculously healthy over the past years while all of the other contenders had major injuries. Never be upset over getting lucky.
Hey just sayin....... Everyone's optimistic about tonight's game after we won 2 games in a row LOL please, expecting a 20 point loss tonight with the same garbage offense.
first we need to stop using words like "lowly" to describe other teams. its this very mentality the rockets players had that in part contributed to a horrible start of the season, i suspect. if i say i saw the other day on the "lowly" 76ers team more raw talent than what we have on the current roster,,, how many will feel offended?
We should have a better record than this. If you look at all the games where we've led or were very close going into the 4th quarter, only to fall flat on our collective asses, then it becomes clear that we have an serious issue with closing out games.
Realistically we should be 16-1/15-2 with the expectations coming into this season. Trades can't really be made until January though.
I get what the OP is trying to say it definitely could be worse the Rockets when they do win games are winning by less than 5 points a contest. Their largest margin of victory this year has been 6 points. 3 games have gone into overtime and 3 games were played against teams without their best player (Boogie, CP3, and Melo) and 3 were in OT. All that does not instill much confidence of course about this Rockets team. More and more I am trying to keep the faith but its harder when you see the results on the floor. Right now the Rockets are just not a good team. The closest game they lost this year was by 5 points - after that it jumps up to 8 points or more. These are not good signs - winning close games and then losing in double digit fashion most of the time. I can only hope that they can win tonight it would go a long way in establishing at least to me things are starting to turn around, but that NYK game was hard to watch especially the lack of proper ball movement. This team doesnt look like one that is locked in for 36 minutes let alone 48 which is maddening because last season they seemed to be locked in all game mentally and effort wise regardless of who was on the floor.
Every team in this league accumulates ugly prayer wins as part of their wins total. That's basketball and that's what makes the game great. If every win or loss was cut and dry, then that would be downright boring.
Yes. We were extremely lucky to win some games that we made shots in. According to OP we should lose every game, because the only players who are allowed to be good are players not currently on our roster.
We also know this team is capable of playing ALOT better. One could say we SHOULD be between 12-14 wins
