some people here are still in a dream...dreaming of the eddie that we drafted and his potential, this is clearly in conflict with reality where the real eddie is a bust...

with all his problems aside, the dude sucked last year...we do not need him to stand at the 3 line and start brick laying again...dude will not go into the paint...he should be done, and wait a minute, ...he is...

yes, it's been posted... WHEN I ORIGINALLY POSTED IT IN THE ORIGINAL EDDIE THREAD!!!!!!

    QUIT REPOSTING MY IMAGES!!!

in the future, COPY the image to your HD, then UPLOAD it to your WEBSITE, then HOST IT YOURSELF.

Did you also post this on the RealGM forum??????

If you don't host the image yourself then don't leech other people's bandwidth. It's very rude to do this and on some websites it can get you BANNED!

my next option is to host a script that can put a very NSFW image in place of those that people leech...and I really don't want to do that!!

you're right.... you can't help it.

just remember, if you don't host the image yourself, you shouldn't repost it. end of story.

    thanks

    The Original Operation Shutdown. ;)

I think that Eddie coming back might be detrimental to the teams chemisrty. Cato and Braggs have been getting some offensive rebounds that "Park my butt at the three line" Griffin wouldn't be in posistion to get.

Keep him out for the year and let him get his head straight. I don't think teams will get into a bidding war for his services at the end of the year, so I think we can sign him if we feel he is ready for next year.

Do you honestly think EG has ever been a viable option?? We are a better team without having to give him his worthless minutes

Only if he takes less and higher percentage shots and concentrates on the rebounds, blocks and general defence. His FG is sooo low considering he gets so many open looks as opposing team double teams Yao and dares him to shoot. We can probably use him as one of the spare backups but we certainly don't need someone who has no motivation to play at all.

    E. Griffin sucks.
No emotion on the court as if he didnt even care, his shot sucks also.
Let him go and dont look back.
Should of kept Kenny Thomas and traded Griffin instead last year.

Whenever you think to yourself, "Man, we need Eddie," just remember that the Eddie you're wishing for is an Eddie we've never seen.

Looking down the road when we play Portland and Mavericks, we need an athletic 4 to match up. No way Cato can guard twain, Jamison, Dirk, Randolph, Wallace, Woods. EG can be crucial in those games and possibly in the playoffs if we are matched up against one of those teams.

Anyone think we couldn't use Eddie in the next 10 games now?

    A weakness just got weaker.

Even if EG were emotionally straight now you can't be in basketball shape when you've been in a hospital for two weeks and not praticed for four.

I hope for the best, but he couldn't help us for the next 10 games even he has pulled himself back together.

Exactly. We don't need Eddie Griffin. We need the player Eddie Griffin SHOULD have been but never was.

I disagree with the people dissing Griffin so hard right now. Personally, I realize that he created some problems for himself with the choices he has made, especially recently. I will never be an apologist for some of the behavior EG has exhibited, but lest we forget that Eddie Griffin has been hospitalized for an ailment that can (in it's most extreme form) cause otherwise intelligent, rational people to drown their children in a bathtub. I am proud that Eddie is trying to get himself together and I wish him all the luck and good fortune in the world in his recovery. He should have the opportunity to work his way back from his problems, which can be done with some hard work and good mentoring (see Chris Carter, Randy Moss, Ray Lewis, etc.).

For those of you dissing his game, you are either blind or weak on your analytical skills. His jacking it up from long range had as much to do with Rudy's desire to clear things out for Yao as it did with EGs ability to hit that shot consistently (33% is as good as hitting half of your 2 pointers). Rasheed Wallace hits the same percentage as EG from 3 point land and do you think Mo Cheeks is upset when "Sheed jacks one up? Hell no, that is Wallace's game just as it is Eddie's.

EG's back to the basket skills improved drastically over the course of last season and he showed a lot of aggressiveness down low in the preseason, and I have to believe that the shots would have started dropping just as they have for Boki. Since he was playing close to the basket, he was also getting a bunch of offensive boards, putbacks, and wreaking havoc all over the place.

Defensively was where I thought he made his best improvement over the summer. He always had a nose for blocks, but he was able to body up to people much more effectively in the preseason. I thought he was going to be our Malone stopper when I saw him playing this year and was very, very distraught when he pulled his crap.

Eddie has been punished by not having his contract extended. He continues to be punished by losing his game checks but if he is willing to come in and work hard, I for one would welcome his presence. He would have to bust his a$$ just to crack the rotation, yes, but having him on the bench would make me (as a Rox fan first and a fan or boo-bird of individuals after) much more comfortable against some of the teams in our division and conference.

With all that said if I could talk to Eddie, my my advice for him would be to get well and then go grovel to JVG and work his way back to the team. He deserves it and so do we.
