so youre telling me doc (even though you probably wont read this, if thats the case, someone else respond to my "take") that the people you get the info from know that you post here and your name is doc rocket? thats why you cant just come out and tell us, straight up, everything you know, because they know you, they know youre "docrocket" on here, and theyll stop letting you know, if they come on here and see some guy named docrocket who they know is you giving out information noncryptically.. but they have absolutely no problem with you giving out information cryptically, because you arent being straight forward and not full blown leaking. youre just dripping. so i guess writing cryptically makes you feel better about telling everything you know. ..right. because even though you are telling us what you know, you try to make it difficult to understand. i dont really see much of a difference quite frankly. i mean all you do is make it into a puzzle, just because we have to work to figure it out, doesnt mean you arent leaking the info youre getting.. but i mean if it makes you feel better, than whatever.. i still dont understand why you dont just say it straight up. in the end the two roads lead to the same place, you leaking your info. im not saying im not grateful or that i dont believe you sometimes.. but if you know that they might know youre on here leaking....they must know your screen name.. and youre screen name still produces enigma wrapped leaks... or do they not know your screen name... or do they even care and you just write cryptically for purely personal satisfaction to not feel guilty.... or... For ya'll who don't like OP's and Doc's info...just don't f*****g read their threads. If you are not able to comprehend why they cannot repeat stuff verbatum, don't sweat it, just don't read it. Ya'll won't know what the hell is going on, but thats ok with me. BTW, it seems that ya'll are the ones with an ego problem; you just cannot stand that others are 'in the know'.
The question has always been: How do we get fair value for KT in a trade? 1) We could wait until his contract expires & resign him at fair market value, thus returning us equal talent in a trade. or.... 2) We could trade him for a rookie that we really want & has just been signed. The rookies from this year's crop can't be traded until December 15, thus we could trade KT for a recently signed rookie by January. Some just drafted rookies that could be traded straight up for KT are: Clippers: Jaric/Wilcox/Ely GS: Dunleavy/Welsch/Logan- Dunleavy would require KT/Collier to match up salaries. Portland: Qyntel Woods Lakers: Rush Just to name a few. I don't know. Maybe, I'm just barking up the wrong tree.

Everyone liked the job Mr. X did but when Homer finally revealed himself for credit and money, everyone acted differently around him. I agree with bigboymu, "Shake 'em..." is a reference to "rolling the dice" as in it's a toss up or a gamble between whether it's KT or MoT who will be traded. Different trade scenario for each, depending upon multiple factors, for example: MoT's health, other team's needs, each player's individual performance, the continued availability of the intended trade target. Even Hottoddie, in his neverending trade scenarios, may finally have hit upon something.

Many of us would have fun doing the same thing...teasing from a position of in the know...to watch the guesses. His clue was "Kinda like your home address" in the context of references to Tupac. Is it a city name that is the clue. Tupac is from Oakland (GS) and adopted LA (Clippers). You guess. But, that didn't need to be written cryptically, or it is too cryptic for any possible understanding. A city name will not finger any Deep Throat informant. Can you imagine this: Doc says, "Rumors of Los Angeles or Golden State are still alive." Rockets brass say, "Caught you Doc Rocket...you're fired." Doc, "Damn, how did you know it was me? Popeye, Mitch Lawrence, all the scoopers mention those two cities, all the time." Give us the straight dope Doc. You can mention a city name. It is very easy. Spare us the guesses. aaahhhhhhh. LOL!!!

Welcome to the BBS, MCM. That really wasn't very imaginative... we've had much more creative dribble, with appalling frequency. Most of these KIndergarten players work very hard to create something they think will rock our world. It's quite pathetic, really, because it has all been done before. I find the slugs who leave their cell phones on during a movie much harder to ignore. Sooner or later Clutch causes these carpet crawlers to disappear. I wish he could have done that as I was watching LOTR for the fourth time. What a grand realization of a classic of literature on the screen! Oh! I can't wait for #2... or, you could say kailuakid gave it to us already. (sigh)
I wouldn't be surprised if we traded for Jaric from the Clippers. He is guard who could play in a 3-guard lineup and cover the opponents small forward on defense without giving up a lot of size. With the addition of Andre Miller, the Clippers don't need another point guard, however with Brand/Wilcox/Ely, you could argue they don't need KT either -- unless Olowokandi doesn't resign and they move Ely/Brand to the center position.
I would SnT Shard for Mo as I think they are comparable talents, but wouldn't give up great assets or overpay (beyond an already bad contract) for RL. I wouls SnT for Wells (Cato), make Bonzi the 6th Man, and toke a chance I mean take a chance on Keon. Idruther Keon and Wells than Cato. Or Lewis. ------ would Cuban scare RL off w/an attempt @KG? Or make it more vital to sign him if the Mavs gave up 3 or 4 studs for The Kid??
If only it were so easy to get Rashard. Rashard's new contract will make him a Base Year Compensation (BYC) player. Seattle can only receive back half of his contract; that is, if they sign him to a contract starting at $7,000,000 a year, they can take back $3,500,000 for his salary. Which means: 1. A 3rd team (at least) would have to be involved in the trade to absorb the excess salary. 2. The trade would have to be REALLY BIG (especially if only two teams involved) for same reason as 1. 3. We won't get Rashard. If we could just convince Chicago to renounce their free agents and take Mo, T-Mo and the Drew obligation, then send Jamal and Fizer to Seattle... And then I woke up.
