And what does that have to do with us? He lived and played in Dallas. Dallas is a far better team than what Rox currently has. Dallas also has better assets than us. For what reason could DWill have of coming to Houston?

If I was a NBA owner and believed this, and didnt own a team in Boston, NY, LA or Miami, id sell before all the other cities realized they cant win.

You forgot San Antonio and Dallas. There are only three reasons a superstar signs or asks to be traded to a specific team:

    - To contend for the ring by joining an established team with established stars
    - For the market to get more fame from additional advertisement and exposure
    - Get max money, which we cannot give without a SnT. This is probably the lowest priority though as Bosh, LBJ, and Wade have shown.

Houston has no real market, no real incentives for amusement, no super stars, no salary cap, and this season, not even a good chance of making the playoffs. A superstar has NO REASON to join us. There are teams that are better than us for which they can jump on board as well as teams that can throw more money. The chances of luring a super star here by HIS OWN WILL is very low.

Like I said earlier, we have to either get a borderline star looking to make that leap into stardom and wants a team to build around him or draft someone who may turn out to be a superstar. With our team stuck in mediocrity, we aren't going to be on any superstar's radar. Maybe things would have been different if Yao was healthy or we did get Amare. As of now though, we aren't exactly numero uno or even in the top 10.

There is also a 4th option where we trade for a disgruntled star regardless of whether or not he wants to be here or not.

We need to snag Blake Griffin....Before he becomes an All Star. Maybe offer Hill and a second round pick while his value is still low.
