on the band wagon to trade for Al Jefferson. With him just recovering from an injury, and the wolves played relatively well without him, his stock will be at an all time low. Get him while the price is low. Getting the better player is much more important than getting the player that fits.
This thread might as well be locked cause it was already said that the Timberwolves wouldn't trade him for Amare so why the hell would they want Tmac. I would love to see why some of you on here would think Minni would do such a trade.
Ye, i get it, the new guy doesnt like the old guy's guy, so he is gona throw out the one player that can really play on his team for a cripple tmac and 30 years old scola? come on, have some mercy.
I seem to recall us having a little bit more trade pieces than that, i just suggested that because it would be my ideal trade
well, i am just saying IF Al Jefferson is on the market, there will be alot teams with alot more better trading piece than Rockets, and Houston prob wont be the first team they want call, right? Sorry for crashing the fantasy, but i just dont see this happening even with the magical hand of Morey.
Thats why the post is we need to get into the talk.. because it cant hurt to throw ur name in the mix
Two words and a date come to mind. "Summer of 2010." You know Minny is gearing up for that. No one in this year's draft is going to take them to playoffs contention, much less trying to compete for a title. That would be the only reason why Minny would even consider trading Jefferson for TMac's contract. Sure, it's stupid now, because they lose the best young power forward in the game, but they might just gain the best player in the game if LeBron doesn't sign with the Cavs.
You are stupid if you could remotely think that Lebron might even consider about moving to Minny and playing with the Timberwolves. HAAAA! Lebron in a timberwolves jersey would be hilarious.
Of course. Scola alone is worth more than Amare. Amare might be more talented but 12/8 for 3 million>20 million whiner. I'm not sure how the salaries would match though. Tmac+Scola for Jefferson and filler is a pretty good deal for us though.
Lol someone who thinks Amare is better than Al Jefferson shouldn't be calling other people stupid....
I'm convinced now that some of you are really high on something when you post on CF. Put the pipe down for once and stop posting stupid things. If Scola was worth more than Amare then why would anyone wanna trade him? Do I have to explain why Scola isn't worth more than Amare? Amare has an expiring contract just like Tmac's but the difference is Amare can still play. We dont know that about Tmac yet. And plus he doesn't make 20 million a year, he makes 15 million which isn't bad when you compare him to someone like Tmac again who is actually making 20+ million.
Look it up fool. Al is great and is one of the better up and coming post players but when compared to Amare he just isn't better. Amare is averaging 21pts 9rebs in his career compared to Al Jefferson's 14.9pts 8.5rebs. Then there's the playoffs were he steps it up to 25pts per game and 10 rebs to Jefferson's 6pts 6rebs. You are stupid if you think he is better. Amare's Awards/honors: NBA All-Star: 2005, 2007, 2008, 2009 All-NBA First Team: 2007 All-NBA Second Team: 2005, 2008 NBA All-Rookie First Team: 2003 NBA Rookie of the Year: 2003 NBA All-Star Rookie Challenge MVP: 2004 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Amare_Stoudemire Al Jefferson has none. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Al_Jefferson
If this is true then no one but the Suns are getting Jefferson and no one is getting Amare but the wolves. source- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Al_Jefferson
Al would replace Scola as our starting PF and also play at 5 when Yao is off the court, the sixth man job would be the best fit for MM considering he used to be the sixth man of the year a couple seasons ago. That sounds like a good deal, it would be a regret to loss scola though. The biggest concern is Al's health, a healthy Al is certainly more valuable that Scola but his consistency may lead to injuries that would force Adelman to play Hayes when the season goes deep and fetigue piles up.
