trade beard to minny or gsw, they have the top 2 picks. i can't wait to see what patrick would do in rebuilding the team in his image. many people here will eat crowe. brabra said so.
Or PHI: Chris Paul, Paul George, Austin Rivers (opt in) LAC: Russ Westbrook, Mike Scott, Hamidou Diallo ORL: Dennis Shroder, Eric Gordon, Lugentz Dort, Ben McLemore OKC: Tobias Harris, Jason Richardson, Terrance Ross HOU: Ben Simmons, Aaron Gordon, Pat Beverley, Mo Bamba 6'1 PatBev 6'5 Harden/Nwaba 6'7 RoCo/House 6'8 AG (25)/PJ 6'10 Simmons (23) Rockets have 4 ball handlers in starting 5 and defense just went into LOCKDOWN. MLE: 6'8 Josh Jackson (23), 6'10 Harry Giles (22) or 7'0 Meyers Leonard (28)
They make the enormous effort of having a 5 way trade and Harden isn't even bait...............I bet you 3 teams are not interested. As for now, I think WB is to be traded to a bad or mediocre team, it is easier. Contenders have to think hard how to implement his style and non shooting into their Offense.
If we could get Ben for Westbrook...great. But, Im extremely skeptical. This is not a rebuild..its a retool. I dont think we have or will have enough via retool. We need a true rebuild, and that means dealing James too...for young players/picks. Again, we absolutely need to not wait until trades are requested by these guys. We lose leverage. We need to take the pain..try to get some of our picks back from OKC....and commit to it. Build a culture through Silas, an identity that lasts.
I’ve come to terms with it for about a week now. Going forward the Rockets lose Eric Gordon.....followed by Covington/Tucker only to be replaced by low level vet minimum contract players like Tyson Chandler / Nene trying to hang on for a ring somewhere. James Ennis low level quality players. Replacing good with not so good, equals slow to fast decline. Window is not closed......but slightly open by paper thin margin.
I think it would be foolish to blow it up. you don't just blow up a building the moment after its architect leaves.
It was blown up the moment the Westbrook trade happened, now we're just talking about starting the cleanup so that eventually we can get around to rebuilding. The alternative is to just sit and stare at the ruble while pretending the building is still standing.
Oh and people shouldn't forget Tilman has westbrick on their own installment payment plan prior to all this, when he asked westbrick if he could pay less upfront
lol what? The reason this doesn’t work is because nobody is going to agree to a trade that helps the Rockets but nobody else. literally nobody in the Rockets front office says no to this trade.
Won't be foolish if they had a plan, this tells us they do not have one other than running it back. So let's run it back once more.
That's what I was saying in my response to D-rock ..that I was very skeptical of the Sixers accepting that deal.
