I disagree, the data shows that he shoots just over 60% from the FT line and just over 20% from the 3 point line. Pointing to one season where he hit 50% from essentially the FT line in games largely unguarded isn't impressive to me at all because like I pointed out, Asik shot 60% and 50% from 2 of those zones last year as well.
Rondo would be a terrible fit....though Dragic and Lowry would end up being in the same position as Lin waiting for the pass from Harden. Dragic would be coming off the bench with Beverly starting too.
Nope. McHale actually has faith in Dragic unlike Lin. Harden would be playing off the ball a lot more than he does now.
Nope. Dragic doesn't play D like Bev...he would be coming off the bench...and Harden will never be playing off the ball with Dragic or Lowry.
We wouldn't need him to shoot a lot pimpn. Just run the offense and play solid defense. Rondo is very good in transition and pushing the tempo. He would be an upgrade over both Beverley and Lin.
Harden would be playing off ball alot with Rondo, but then again, he is such a bad shooter....somehow find a player that is a combo of rondo/lowry/dragic...that would be better..
Or the Celtics are positioning themselves to trade him. Their fans will be less irate if they think Rondo was going to walk.
Am I correct to interpret you meaning that they offer an extension that they know he won't accept so they can say "Hey at least we tried" before trading him?
Tonight was a good example why a player like rondo a true PG would help this team. In playoffs the game slows down we have to have someone who can direct be a floor general, know the shot clock etc
Rondo would be useless if mchale is the coach. He does not need PG. Every body makes play. Every body is a facilitator. That's why PG's assists are so low in this team.
Perfect and they lost! makes it even better, hopefully we won't have to trade much, if hardens playing pg & having to score will be a first round exit
