I don't think Boston has the chops to make it that far. They've been coasting so far due to a weaker conference and relatively easy schedule. But put them under some scrutiny and you'll see them fall apart. Right now, I'd say Orlando is above them by a hairline.
Michael Redd is exactly what this team is missing, a shoot-first guard who needs the ball to be effective.
I bet guys like you were saying the same thing about players like KG, iverson and vc.....Who knows maybe Yao will demand trade. Not saying he ever will, but anything is possible....But according to you, T-mac and Yao will never ever be traded. They will retire Rockets. B/c you said it.
Yep, the last thing you want on an inside out team is a dead-eye three point shooter that penetrate and get to the free throw line (where he shoots about 85%).
Thats the way I felt after to days disaster!! I just won't expect anything from our Rockets team. No Playoffs! No Championship! Ps Mrs Yetti who is even taller than I am had to pick me up off the floor after the end of the game. I am too heavy to get up by myself after I have fallen on my face.
wait till end of jan, beginning of feb, usually a big trade will happen. Last year was iverson and that huge trade between golden state and indiana. I'm more willing to wait and see how things turn out for Rox, before we do any trades.
Do you think the current Rockets are having chemistry issues?? I hope not because when we completed the current roster, there were speculations of chemistry problems as with Mike, Rafer, Francis, and even TMac (with Francis??). If there is a problem with chemistry then patience is not going to be of much help. I am not sure what is the right solution to any chemistry problem without any changes.
How hard would it be to trade for Kirk Hinrich? I know he's not a true point guard in the classic sense, but he does manage the game well, defends the point as well as anyone, and shoots really well. He's on a new contract and that makes a trade hard, but impossible? Would the Bulls trade him for a package centered around Battier?
We def. need change by trading away all these half-hearted, old, pathetic so-called veterans for some athleticism and consistent shooter. The 11-10 record means a lot about the streaky shooters like MJ, Rafer, Battier, Bonzi, and Tmac.
Barry redux? Brent Barry that is. He's overachieving at the moment shooting 54% FG, 50.9% 3P and his numbers will eventually taper. His career avg is 46.2% FG, 40.8% 3P. Though his stats for last season were 47.5% FG, 44.6% 3P. It could solve the poor shooting at PG and help with the team's overall 3P shooting.
Yao getting only 10 shots a game is very bad. I hope that this was just a one game thing and he gets more shots tonight.
IMO, we have the right general mix of players. This team can still win. But it just seems we don't have that drive to play harder. I say, free up a roster space and sign Mike Harris. This guy had such a great training camp and preseason. He might not get playing time on the court now, but at least should be able to push every guy to play harder in practice and then in the actual game. Especially with Bonzi Wells, he has been too inconsistent this year. Since he plays the same position as Mike, he will have to play harder to keep getting his PT.
how about we trade all the whiny bandwagon fans who want to shake things up after every loss for some realistic fans who don't whine about everything? sadly that's as unrealistic as most of the trades suggested in this thread...
McGrady-James-Alston OUT Jefferson-Kidd IN NJ recives a player that has proven to be great in the east. McGrady can shoot his life away with Vince Carter to see who can score more on meaningless matches and then they will have someone else to choke in the playoffs. Kidd is traded to a team that becomes a contender. Adelman can play his offense (if it exists) Jeferson stops sharing time with Carter and can explode. What a dream, believe it or not the trade is possible Salary Wise (yes james and alston make almost 10 million between the two)
does anybody else still have a bad taste in their mouth after yesterday's loss? i read the following comment to the Chronicle article, and couldn't help but agree: "The Rockets bench played well in Rick’s system when the starters were not playing. They played like a team. Steve didn’t even play point guard. All he did was hand the ball over to Tracy. One of the coaches needs to sit down with Tracy and watch the third quarter with him. While watching the game, maybe he will realize his mistakes. But that’s asking too much because everyone on team including the coaches are afraid they might upset Tracy. T-mac will not change. He needs to be traded. 12/10/2007 5:37 PM CST"
