I still think we have a good enough team to win the championship. The starting five have proven that they can get into the playoffs and compete. All they need is a strong bench to get them over the hump. We've acquired a much stronger bench, we just need to learn to use it effectively. If only Adelman would clearly define the roles of the players coming off the bench. Each of them should know what to expect each game, so that they can find rhythm in the offense. Adelman needs to start writing ***** in stone, so that we can move on and get some wins, seriously.
Sacramento is far from mediocre, beating us, Utah and San Antonio since Thanksgiving. The other two... er... Well at least Phoenix has losses to Atlanta and Minnesota.
Mike James serves no purpose on this team. He has been a lousy shooter and he can't/won't pass the ball. The offense and momentum seem to fizzle and die everytime Mike James steps onto the floor. Luther Head (I'm no fan of him either) should be getting James' minutes. I was only able to watch the first half of this game, and the Rockets looked great. What happened??? Anyway, I'm tired of fools advocating trading every player on this team and firing the coach everytime the Rockets lose. The season is 82 games long...we are going to lose some. Hopefully, we're just getting them out of the way early. You can start making rash judgements and calling for ridiculous trades if we're consistently losing games like this into January. It's like your all living in an NBA Live fantasy world...
Problem starts with T-Mac. I've been a T-Mac defender for a good while now, but I'm running out of crap to say. Seriously. Pull up jumpers? Dude's too damn comfortable out there doing whatever the hell he wants and thinking he can get by. For the first time ever, I wouldn't mind trading T-Mac for Kobe. At least he wills his teams to victory. Yao needs to demand the ball more. He needs to start scoring 30 points a night. He should lead by example, not by complaining. Scola needs to shoot more. We have a lot of work to do. I see so many problems with us right now. We're as talented a team on paper as anybody. But the teams that are considered cream of the crop (Boston, San Antonio, Phoenix, Dallas, Utah) have players like KG, Duncan, Ginobili, Nash, Howard, Terry and Deron who bring it every night. Anyone catch Deron and Howard going off against each other? At least they have heart and toughness.
You're right, but as I've said before, take the opportunity to build your ignore list or just avoid threads like these. Many of the 'realistic' posters do.
And losses to Memphis, Toronto, Miami, Golden State, and Sacramento. What's your point? Anyone who argues we're the team that beat the Utah's and Phoenix's can be argued against that we're just as easily the team that lost to the Sacramento's and Memphis's. It's 21 games into the season. That's more than enough to get a good feel for what kind of team we have. This team has no identity, no heart and seems lost and inconsistent in all aspects of the game. Nothing changes until we make roster moves. The likes of James, Head, Hayes, and Skip -- to a lesser extent because his value is proven in games such as the Toronto one -- are expendable. Ship them for whatever you can get. Bring in a sharpshooting perimeter player and a power forward who can pass and spread the floor a bit to initiate this so-called "motion offense" that was supposed to be our savior.
* T-Mac 7-21 1-6 8-10 23 * Yao 5-10 0-0 5-6 15 you can find what's the problem? Adleman use Yao just as a runner . 1. Fire Adleman 2. Trade Tracy McGrady For Kobe Bryant 3.Trade Yao Which change would you choose?
..was mentioned before, but anything we can do (including trading both tmac and yao) for Howard would work for me.
I still don't see the Rockets making a change until after they give this duo one more chance in the playoffs. I think Les would be more likely to fire the new coach than break up T-Ming. To me, they're both sidekick material; great players who melt when the heat gets turned up. And if RA can't get this team to the playoffs, he deserves to be fired. As to why I'm not too upset over all this, I think it's Boston's year anyway. The powers that be want to see that happen, and I think a SA/Boston match up is almost a given (sorry Dallas). But if the Rockets do decide to break up T-Ming, they should go all the way and trade them both. Preferably for a young stud point guard and high draft picks. Out of curiosity, who are the 5 best point guards under the age of 25?
I would be willing to trade Tmac, MJ, Rafer and Luther. Let me say that ive never ever liked Kobe. However... he is better than Tmac no question. If i had the chance to get him for Tmac i would go for it. Hell... i would trade Tmac for Derek Fisher and some filler.
deron williams, chris paul, raymond felton, tony parker and for the last one i'm not sure if kevin martin is a pg or sg .if he is a sg then t.j ford. future good point guard mayo....hahaha
If T-Mac shoot the ball every time he got it, and often too soon, and often missed, how can other guys follow?
Unfortunately, 2 is not a choice you have, it's only a day dreaming. I don't think LA would be that stupid to trade Kobe for T-Mac, a proven loser and never got out of the first ground in the playoffs.
Mike James/Luthur head/Snyder for Michael Redd + scrub. Bonzi is a filler to match salary wise Michael is playing terribly right now and i do not think he is still untouchable because the emerging Andrew Bogut and Yi. They are in trsnaition to an inside out team so Michael Redd must go
