it never dies. People never seem to understand that Yao and TMac will not get traded ever. its hopeless, these threads will always pop up after losses. Please forget about Kobe and forget about Kidd, they are not coming here nor should we be trading the farm to get them.

I thought we just had a huge change from a defensive team to an offensive team, can we just give this team some time to adjust the new system?

Nah, we just need Rafer back along with his great PG skills.

I'm amazed that a team with "no heart and no IQ" can somehow have a .500 record with the hardest schedule in the league, including wins @ Utah, @ Phoenix, @ Lakers, San Antonio, and Denver.

    I don't think T-Mac is untradeable.

What's frustrating is they're losing games to mediocre ballclubs like Memphis, Sacramento, and now Toronto. Yes, it's good to see them playing better against the top teams in the West since that's who they'll have to go through in the playoffs. But if they don't start taking care of business against teams they should beat, they'll struggle to even make the postseason.

I think most of us can live with the W/L record. The issue is the regression and lack of intensity. If the Rockets were playing hard and committing turnovers because they were learning a new system and trying too hard, then fine. But that isn't happening. This team lacks fire and desire.

Let's start STUPID trade threads that make less and less sense the more they pop up!

The Rockets are gonna get rollin' and then all these guys talking about "trade __" will be throwing out: :p or a: :D when they get called out for their fairweather fandom.

How about we wait longer than 20 GAMES before we say what this team can and cant do. If we are 3/4ths into the season and we are still .500, we can start talking about trades. But we have a BRAND NEW coaching staff and a brand new system, so lets just give it some time.

i had a great idea last night. trade mike james, luther head, bonzie wells, shane battire, kirk snyder and steve novak for ben gordan, kirk hinrick, joe smith and first round pick. both teams need a change
    yao/dike
    chuck/joe smith/carl
    t-mac/scola
    ben gordan/francis
    rafer/hinrich/brooks

The most realistic (and still hardly likely) trade for us, would be something like: Battier/Rafer + 1st rounder for Calderon and a bad contract. This guy can play, dish assists and hits his open jumper at a good rate. And he is "only" coming of the bench for the Raptors, while they have a real good starting PG.

Problem is, he is young, has big talent and Toronto likes him.

Changes doesn't necessarily mean going for Kobe or Kidd but going for the right ones...Let's just say, would you guys wait until our current players adapt to the new system? What if it took so long? ..or it's better to trade for the right players who can easily adapt and implement the new system?

Here's a simple, yet logical and practical solution:
Trade someone (Snyder, Novak, or Head), so that we open up a roster spot. Then sign Mike Harris!...remember him?

It's a small step, but at least it would a step forward.

    He was in a slump he is been shooting well lately 3P 8-13 60+% | 2p 12-20 60.

The problem is the inconsistence of Houston in Energy and the constant change of Rotation player. Steve didn't play in the beginning, then vs Sac lost he got hurt, then today Rafer got hurt, T-Mac was hurt. is like we can't play a few game with the same Rotation and minutes to give Rockets player a constant look and comfort. It like Adelman haven't found the right combination yet. And then we play vs Elite teams with tons of energy and execution and to Average and Mediocre teams, a mediocre no energy game. Sometime we run sometime we don't some time we play defense other we care less.

Houston need to find an identity and that will come with a set rotation and some time.

At least wait to say this midseason or a few weeks before the trade deadline.
