I thought he has a good thing right now in the construction business. Spoiler If we didn't still have any playoffs hope, I wouldn't mind signing Starbury for the rest of the season just for the comedy of it.
I just got the exact same injury as Lowry and my doctor said that the worst for me would be if I tweaked it again or sprained it again, could need surgery and stuff like that. I know Lowry is trying to get paid, but he needs to focus on his health before.
Actually I think Strawberry would be a good guy to have at the end of the bench. I forgot about him but he looked good as a Rockets when he and Wafer were battling for a roster spot.
i think we need a real back-up C at about the same urgency. we can always pull up a PG from the D-League for the other spots. big men at the post are in shortage.
There's not another point with the Vipers? Morey didn't want to sign a guy (Temple or Conroy) for the rest of the season because of the cap, but yeah, we need another body if Lowry is hobbled.
If we sign a 3rd PG, it would surely be on the cheap to keep under lux tax (if that's an issue). As well, you just want a guy who's going to run the offense, play good defense, and play offense if the D doesn't respect him. Guys like Marbury are not fitting the bill. Temple and Conroy were perfect fits.
"I'm good," Lowry said. "It was just a very bad tweak. It's still a little sore, but you step the wrong way, sometimes it hurts more than other times. I'll be all right. I'm OK. I'll be playing Friday." http://blogs.chron.com/nba/2010/03/rockets_107_grizzlies_94_brook.html
I remember that earlier in the season this was discussed as a longer term option, but they didn't want to throw too much at him in his rookie season
I'm sure the Rockets have someone they can pick up from the D-League for a 10-day contract if Lowry has to miss more games. At this stage, its not that big of a deal.
