Man Cisco is not better than half those players on that list. I would absolutely LOVE nick young on this team
I can't say any of the guys on that list that are attainable in the event we get Howard would be much improvement over James Anderson. Gary Neal is an interesting option, as is Roger Mason (was shooting very well from three this season).
That's why I said "even Tony Allen". He's not ideal, but he is a backup SG isn't he? But even he would cost too much. You just find someone who is pretending to be like him is all. That's probably what we were trying to do with DJ Strawberry two years ago, turn him into Tony Allen.
Wes Johnson a 2 and 3 that can play defense and give Parsons and Harden a breather...and if they wanna play small ball with Parsons at the 4 he will be a good filler in that 3 spot
We already have a solid back up. I've said this many times but James Anderson deserves more playing time. He's a better overall player than Garcia and Delfino. Garcia and Delfino are strictly just 3 point shooters, where as Anderson can shoot the 3, put the ball on the floor, drive to the rim. He can also space the floor, moves well off the ball.
unless we get Howard, cross off anyone on that list that is looking for more than one guaranteed year
i like james anderson's game. give that guy more PT! and bring back delfino and/or garcia. that's all the backup SG/F we'll need.
I actually like James Anderson and what he has to offer. Give this kid some time. He shoots the ball well, is athletic, defends...just needs more time to develop.
Agreed. Garcia and Delfino, not bad. Otherwise three men rotation with Bev, Lin and Harden. If Lin improves his defense and three point shooting he could definitely play backup 2.
For me, I like Nick Young, Wes Johnson, Anthony Morrow, and DeShawn Stevenson. Any of the 4 of them would be great to back up The Beard.
Imo Lin can play 10-15 minutes at SG, his defense has improved more than many have given him credit for, this will also be a good way to get Beverley more time so it's like killing two birds with one stone. Lets just hope Lin stays healthy.
