You're referring to instincts. I'm referring to judgement. Rondo has a bad attitude and closet full of skeletons. Above all else, trading one headcase for another doesn't do this team much good.
Well...not sure he can fit cause he can't shoot from outside (and fts too...) and i fear he may not get along with Harden, on and off the court but: 1. he has (or at least had) some heart/fire, something we need 2. he may be pretty cheap this summer...would be interesting to know if he would like more to play here for cheap rather than stay in SacTown for more money...
Could we just sign a defensive 2 guard (Bazemore) and then just play Harden at the 1? He'll guard whomever is the least offensive threat between 1-3 on the opposing team? Or is that just a crack dream?
Rondo can't shoot the 2, either. But, Conley - - could he and Harden coexist and flourish in MDA's system?
Llull is going to be the best bang for your buck....and please spare me the comments. He will come when the money and opportunity are right, as I think they will be this summer.
Rondo can do what james harden does in the 1st Qt and rack up 6-7 assists in a row and get everyone involved, he also brings rebounding, another ball handler and playmaker. Once everyone sis involved early hopefully they'll be more engaged. Rondo brings you that. Dantoni needs a PG in this system, I'd like Rondo and his DGAF atttiude on this squad. We NEED that.
Rondo is a good mid range shooter, and this last season he was a respectable 3 point shooter. I'm not saying he would be a great fit, but you guys saying he's a bad 2point shooter is wrong, saying he has a low IQ is wrong.
