Santo you're right we do need a power forward . I want to be the first to start the campaign to get Carlos Boozer, but only if we have multiple picks I'd rather have Woods any day. Every talks about how dominant Eddy Curry is, Boozer looked like a man among this year in the ACC.

    University Blue,
I like KT, but that is not the reason I am going to disagree with you. KT does indeed have good footwork, even on the NBA level. He had it in college. I watched him quite a bit in the NCAA's and his moves are legit. He does not travel (yet)often. They don't tolerate much, if any, of that in the NCAA's. Plus, the proper weakside defense generally does not have time to get to KT due to him wasting no time in making a move. If you remember, when KT started, the double teams came, but came late. That was not a product of laziness on D necessarily, but more a result of KT getting to the basket quickly, spinning away from the double team in time, or simply making a quick move.

In time, as he learns the NBA rule (or lack thereof) I am sure he will learn to travel with the best of them, as all players with good footwork do.

Also, once the ref's see his moves enough times they will let him get away with a little traveling, if he continues to make the same moves & starts consistently draining his shots. It's the natural order of things. First, you earn respect, then you can throw elbows & flop like Malone, & the ref's won't see a thing.

We'll have to agree to dis-agree.

Thomas might have "great" footwork after he gets into the lane, but when he's on the block, about to dribble, he'll lift his pivot foot before the ball reaches the floor.

Speaking of low-post players. Has anyone mentioned Brad Miller -- Charlotte's un-restricted free agent Center? He could be a good back-up for Cato.

Anyone mention Jelani McCoy of Seattle? He's got talent and is playing pretty well in the summer leagues. He had a few impressive games last year. Or how about Robert "Tractor" Traylor? He's been in a Nike commercial and has a great nickname.

The ? is correct part of "so Rudy wants to develope KT as starter?.
I have never heard this Starter project discussed. Not that I think KT is ruled out as a starter but I have never had him figured in as a potential starter.

What about Collier? I would think even at 6-11 / 7' he could get a chance to play PF & if ready even be able to start. My read on this guy is that the Rockets have put allot of stock in his ability to run the floor & change free up the offense with his outside shot @ the 4 & 5 positions.

Also has any one ruled out F/A power forwards (as starters) to take the exception? Foyel is still out there & if Austin doesn't come through I would think the Rocks will be knocking on some 6-9 to 7' doors for adding depth to the front court.
