Lets enjoy Yao making his opponents look silly with the move and the nickname will come of it's own accord. The Shanghai Spin (if the Shanghai Shake is already taken) sounds best to me, but something will pop up that sounds perfect, and that's what it'll be.

The Dream Shake, by the master, should have it's own banner at the TC, in glorious retirement.

First of all, let's not go overboard with the cutesy nicknames for certain moves.

With Worrel especially, I can remember the 'bad old days' before Calcin, when it was Bill and McCoy McLemore, and the worst worst WORST nauseating crap was listening to them calling a game with Buck Johnson in it - 'The Blade'!!

THE BLADE turns, misses another layup. THE BLADE clangs another 3. THE BLADE slices through the lane... UGH. Just shoot me.

No matter how cute we think all these little nicknames are, it's really just like trying to show other people pictures of your kids. You think they are the best things in the world, but no one else want to see lame snapshots of your ugly kids.

Ease up on the nicknames. Try to think of something that might actually sound halfway decent on a broadcast and not make people want to shoot their televisions.

'Dreamshake' worked fairly well because it had layers of meaning, and played off Hakeem's own nickname. Yao doesn't really have a real nickname yet. It may be years before anything sticks.

Now with that said, here's my .02

    'The Spin Cycle'

    'The 180'

    'The U-Turn'

    Yeah I know, lame.

    ;)

Ugh... I don't want to have to ask you how to pronounce that "Gtfootw!"... Ugh... ;)

    "The Gettafukautamaywei!"

But seriously, Shanghai Spin complements the Shanghai Shake.

Turn around jumper - Shankhay Spin
    Baseline hook-and-go - Shanghai Drive

The Communist block should be used when he sets a pick that makes the guy fall down, like in the Orlando game.

I like the Tienamen Typhoon or Tornado
