I hardly consider Yao a star; he has too many deficiencies to be considered a star. His current $17 million paycheck is nothing more than a burden on the Rockets unless his reconstructive foot surgery manages to allow him to last. I personally would have liked to see him gone by now so we can focus on building around a real star who cannot be counted on to get injured every year. I am not saying this is his fault, but the fact remains that when he is injured, he is useless and a burden.
Well, okay. I concede that Brooks is not at the level of Durant or Melo. As far as I'm concerned, since he's not a super-duper star, he doesn't get an extension. That doesn't mean however that Brooks isn't good.
Think about your "In fact" statement for a second... I can pull two facts out of that statement: #1 You like Adelman's offense #2 The second unit's only chance to play is to agree with you OK, but those two facts say nothing about whether Adelman likes his 1st unit or not or why he would play them if he didn't. Coach has said over and over that he does not have a system. Maybe he has said what systems he does not like, but he has never said he has a set system, hence why he and many other coaches play their best players and create a system for them. That's what makes Adelman the monocle man, because of his straterginess. was that the right word? my firefox is giving me a squiggly red line. but then again, the word "firefox" has a squiggly red line, too. so screw them. I'm going with straterginess!
