A Mother ****ING MEN ! It is downright amazing that folks are drooling over some other team's so called wannabe star, instead of focusing on players the Rockets have that just might become that star. Aaron Brooks grew by leaps and bounds last year, and I am not talking about his scoring, but in his clutch play at the end of games. Blocked earlier against Dallas - rather fouled with no call, led to him hitting the pullup in the lane to win against other teams later. Missed FTs early in the year led to clutch FTs late. Need a 3pter to tie the game, who ya gonna call? AB !!! And his court vision is vastly underated, watch Yao's scrimmage video, who is that driving into the lane and hitting Yao with a PERFECT bounce pass for a dunk, yeah baby AB !!!! AB is the catalyst, he doesn't need to be a Superstar, he just needs to be able to draw the attention and make it happen....... AB has that in spades, and there are closers all over the floor with him late in the games. Melo...pffft....who needs a wanna be ball hogging no passing, no defense, prima donna? Give me AB and the roster we have now...and away we go... DD

I seriously doubt it, I try to do them when I have something decent to talk about, like a few games etc... I would think that if I did too many of them, I might get those thread ratings in the negative star range. :grin: DD
Only you and a few others think that AB will ever become a star. Also, with the exception of the prima donna part, it sounds like you are describing Brooks... I believe the correct response to this is "Who cares? You're their best seller!"

"Yeah this Brooks fellow may be undersized, a poor defender, and a bad passer, but man he sure can score!" He is the GM, he HAS to say good things. - Also, this is a fact that you created a thread for to discuss, but DM often says things and then does something totally different. Correct me if I am wrong, but didn't DM also say that Landry would be a Rocket for a very long time? What happened there? You can't just decide that DM is not blowing smoke this time simply because it works for your argument. You cannot have the cake and eat it too. - The statement itself also means jack ****. Derek Fisher IS the starting guard for a championship team. Anyone decent PG can be the starting PG for a championship team. It doesn't mean anything at all. Now if he came out and said, AB will be a superstar, then we will have something real to discuss. Oh yeah... how is your crushes for VSpan and Wafer working out so far? One ran away back to Europe with his tail between his legs and the other couldn't even make it in Europe.

i don't believe dm satisfy what he has. he said many time publically he will do if sth big comes up. it is documented many times in jonathan feigen's blogs. melo is a typical example. rox did talk to denver and laid out a package on the table. unfortunately denver didn't bite. all of us know nothing about the content of package besides rumors. one of km, scola, and ab was included in the package at some point since the melo trade started.

Theres a difference from being neutral and lavishing praise. Saying what he said is high high praise for AB. Rationalize it however you want in your head, but that statement is clearly not what you are making it out to be. If they were going to trade Brooks, they would of picked up Collison in the Ariza trade instead of Lee. They didn't, and that speaks louder than any words.
