ask yourself, who's gonna check Kobe in the playoffs?
    Tmac???!!!

    Oh for the Fake-Rocketfans-who-think-they-are-Bulls-MJ-who-really-are-just-gay-dorks

When Jordan was making a comeback, he was working out with Ron Artest, cause he wanted the best defender in the league as a measuring stick.

didn't know that right fake-fans? that's cause you're not real NBA Fans and should watch Cricket or women's golf.

artest does this EVERY game v. the rockets. he doesn't do it consistently versus everyone else. and didn't tmac just busted him up for 40 pts the last 2 times they met?

when artest does this 2 times a week, then get in touch. not once in a blue moon ok.

but i would trade tmac IF i get bibby AND artest ;) . that would solve our PG problems also.

    Artest 30 pts 4 rebounds 4 assists

Not much to say about numbers like this. In the past it was a shootout between T-Mac and Artest. Not this year.

Artest would be an All-Star if not for his low popularity with the masses.

or maybe he has to do it CONSISTENTLY. u don't get to be an all-star by just doing it against the rockets.

some of you fans need to watch the entire NBA more often rather than just whoever explodes against us and claim them as an all-star.

so is dirk a scrub b/c he usually sucks against us?

    History lesson:
The Spurs were labeled as a "SOFT" Team.
They went out and got this Mario Elie guy who had a reputation for toughness.
    They won a championship..sorta.

You need to grow up or maybe you're not grown. I'll send my Nanny over to spank you while she's changing your diaper.

No Artest has All-Star like numbers for his career. He's good enough.

When Artest was with Stephen Jackson and Jermaine ONeal that Detroit Brawl year, they were an elite team and contenders.

You people worry about how many points people score, but we still can't get the first round. I have a problem with tmac competitive juices. He has none

How about a light version of Artest in James Jones?

Jones has a player option for $3.1 million next season. He's currently the second best 3P shooter in the league. With players like Kapono and Matt Carroll getting full MLE deals he's likely to opt out.

The season so far he's played 34 games out of 52 due to injury. He was injured for the most part of November and is currently out for 3 to 5 weeks. His last game was 1 Feb he might be back by mid-March.

Since his injury Portland's record is 1 win 5 losses.

Why do the Blazers trade him? Two reasons, to get a healthy player to help stop the losses before they completely fall away from playoff contention. Also to avoid losing him for nothing in free agency.

1)Rockets give up Head or Snyder.

2)Since Portland have a youthful and deep frontcourt in
    PF: Aldridge Outlaw Frye McRoberts
    C: Oden Przybilla LaFrentz

They don't really need to add another big but they hold the 30th (last) pick from 2006 in Joel Freeland an athletic 7 foot PF/C with 3P range.

So what they do is trade the draft rights to Freeland for the Rockets 2008 1st round pick which could be of more use to them especially if they try to package for a point guard.

Rockets need a 3rd option C to replace Deke but this swap is in favor of Portland and is the sweetener.

Didn't you see the answer last night? McGrady guards Radmanovich, Luis takes Kobe. Then when Luis gets in foul trouble, you bring in Chuck to guard Kobe. Then when Chuck gets in foul trouble, you bring in defensive specialist Bonzi. Then Tmac switches to Kobe for 3 possessions in the 4th quarter and pronounces, "I've done that before, taking the best player. I knew I had exert my will into the game so I stepped up and took their best player"

Hooroo: I'd rather try to steal Rudy Fernandez from them. That kid is gonna be a player in this league!

Sorta? Because an arrogant arsewhole, who is an excellent coach, says *? They won by the same rules everyone played with.

Artest? Great player, but who wants to trust him? Krazy George Karl and Eek, it's Zeke? Any GM would want his talent as any GM would want Stro's potential but guys like them always move on to the next guy who will solve that mystery. As if.

you know what, as crazy as Artest is its nice to see his PASSION on the court. Im not a YOF, but man if you guys cant see that Tmac is plain and simply NOT a winner your homer-glasses are blinding you. Im not saying we should trade Tmac but - he needs more help. If there is ANY way to get Artest I say we do it. The man wont mind playing 2nd or 3rd fiddle to anyone as long as we are a LEGIT contender. He's even said that when he opts out from Sac this summer he'll go to a contender for whatever $$$, because money isnt important to him. He said he could live on the streets as long as he had that ring. When was the last time we saw anybody like that?? Plus the man is huge, and I have a feeling that under Adelman and with help from guys like Tmac and Deke and maybe even Battier he would be more under control. I dont think theres been a guy out there thats played as intense defense as he has but still has a legit offensive game. He would fit amazingly well onto our team. Just my 2cents.

i know the salaries don't work, but I'd trade TMAC for Artest and a #1 straight up

his work ethic, heart, passion fit in good with our front line of Scola and Yao...

Can't we give T-Mac at least until after the playoffs? I think its too risky to make a major trade that involves one of our stars. Our chemistry would be shot in the head. Do we really have the liberty to wait for the team to gel.....again?
Yeah, Artest may know Rick's offense but he doesn't know our players. We have a better chance going deep into the playoffs with the team now than shaking up the foundation. If we lose in the first round again, then its time to get rid of T-Mac.
