it doesn't make sense to trade ron if tmac is going to be out. it doesn't make sense to keep tmac and let ron go. it doesn't make sense to keep a cripple as well. mentally and physically cripple. wtf is going on morey!
like what everyone has said morey is trying to get the best deal with his contract because he probably knows that ron's asking price is probably a bit too steep for our liking. might as well get something instead of letting him leave for nothing correct? we cannot trade tmac this season because of his contract expiring NEXT year during the 2010 fiasco and i doubt we will be able to get any of those superstars here so lets just wait.
it's not apples and apples...tmac can't be traded. no one is taking that contract on. you might be able to get some value for ron. you don't let the fact that you can't trade tmac keep you from getting some value for ron...particularly if you're set on the idea that ron won't be back next season.
this is what i have been saying for the past 3 weeks....you have to try and get something back now and not just let him walk for nothing at the end of the season
No kidding this is a joke. A player that actually was tough is gone and the wuss is allowed to stay. I hope TMac is dealt also who wants to root for that guy anymore in Houston. TMac is done in H-Town. Goodluck to Ron and Goodluck to TMac being on another team.
It makes sense to trade Ron if he is not fitting in with the rest of the players, or the team does not intend to resign him. DD
I am tired of the 2010 crap. No big time star will want to come to Houston that will free agents that Summer. The organization is putting too much on 2010 by keeping TMac just trade for an expiring contract that will up this year or next year. The team needs a player that can contribute this season and next season.
The VC deal is making more and more sense to me. We probably can't afford to resign Ron with Yao and Tracy on the team. So he gets moved or else we lose him in a couple months. VC replaces T-Mac. T-Mac goes on the shelf for a year until we get clear of his huge contract. This way, Ron and T-Mac both are equally slated to go, but T-Mac warms the training table or whatever as the Rox count down the days on his contract.
Well trading T-Macs contract then would not mean that we will be trying to be players in the 2010 summer. Think about it. We would get MORE value from his contract.
Trading for Carter does not make sense. He is the same mold as TMac and his contract is going to hurt us bad.
I wouldn't pay any attention to this report - it sounds too much like the usual garbled regurgitation of the BBS rumors. Reduce, Reuse, Recycle. It's like listening to the fourth-person gossip threads. Maybe it's true, maybe it's not, maybe we just want to hear anything that confirms our suspicions. No credible source, no news. I will iso you! We will repeatedly wound you!
sohu? precise? LOL, although the rumor of trading Artest has been around, but SoHu ppl cant even differ spud webber and chris webber... anyways http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=aqcxhb my thought on artest trade
I thought this was supposed to be the year for Artest to prove himself and he only gets 3 and a half months, while most of the time playing injured ??? The people who want to see Artest go, including fans, will be sorry coming playoff time. You think we really would've won all these games without our intimidator, our Vernon Maxwell ?? You think we beat the Jazz or Celtics without him ? Who do you suggest guards Paul Pierce and such, a hobbled Battier, a non caring Tracy, a no experience Wafer ?? No freaking way !! I hope, if we trade Artest, we play the Jazz and you best believe another first round exit is on the horizon. Nobody besides Artest is ready to intimidate, compete and play physical with these teams. I mean, NOBODY !! Remember last year's playoffs and be honest, did any1 on our team play physical, aggresive and do a little dirty work like the Jazz did (to us) ?? We rolled over like some punks, that's what happened. I've never seen a series like that, where the other team doesn't receive a single technical, doesn't commit a single hard foul nor intimidates the opponents / refs. Battier committed one foul that could be considered hard, but was very normal for a playoff game. In Artest, we at least have a player who is not scared and is not ready to get rolled over. Artest at least can get away with physical play, because he always plays like that so gets the respect from the refs. We need a guy like that in the playoffs, believe me.
Ever since I was a young boy, I read about basketball, From Sohu down to Sina, I must have read em all But I ain't seen nothing like this In any Chinese blog...
