No matter what league it is... if a dude elbows you in the THROAT. then YOU get called for the foul...

you have no choice but tell the aggressor that he cant pull that crap.

Ron got ejected for TALKING to Kobe... not a T. not a foul. He got ejected. For talking. After he took one in the jugular.

Sounds like Crawford is the one who lost his composure not Ron Artest

a bit off topic, but during the post game interview a chinese reporter asked yao if this game added more confident (something like that) or fire (in chinese) into the next game..

yao paused for a while.. and answered "fire"
damn ron has def made yao tougher.
tmac would've said he's tired from all those bruises lol

It's easier said than done. As some other fans said, when you got ELBOWED in the throat, and the call mysteriously went ON YOU , man, I am not sure if I could keep my cool. And I said this before, Ron is a man with giant testicles. I have to conclude that he handled it pretty well.

    Ron's interview post-game was classic.

Kobe looks like a real douche and Ron is smelling like roses.

now can we get shane and yao to follow his suit?

shane's foul on kobe on that breakaway was WEAK. go for the ball and foul him HARD. u gonna let that fool taunt u like that all game?

yao keeps getting stripped and just screamed all over the place. gotta throw those elbows around yao. sacrifice a T. they're not gonna suspend you. the game was over.

ron went to kobe's FACE and told him wassup. u all saw that scared look from kobe.

The toughness Artest showed tonight is exactly why the Rockets are a different, better team this year. Everybody should watch what Barkley and Kenny Smith said after. They gave the Rockets tons of credit for being tough, not backing down, and not being intimidated by the Lakers. That attitude came from Artest. He got screwed by the league today. How many players talked trash tonight? NONE of them got kicked out. Artest does it and he gets tossed? He didn't throw an elbow, he didn't push anybody, he didn't punch anybody. He should have gotten a tech, not ejected. Hopefully now this play gets attention and the league reviews what kind of dirty stuff Kobe is getting away with.

I absolutely LOVE what Ron did. He did the right thing in that situation. He went over to let Kobe know that he wasn't going to let him push people around... yet he kept his cool, made sure his arms were down at all times, and then walked away (granted, still jawing at Kobe).

The only bad thing about it was the timing. The late 3rd quarter crap was the reason he got ejected.

i am in awe of artest. this series he has been playing really well. he does take some bad threes, but he is driving to the basket more than he ever did this season. i thought ariza would give him fits but i was wrong. great job artest. i hope u clothesline kobe in the opening possession. that will shut his ugly trap soon enough.

Yes sir. Yao needs to step up.

We have zero chance if Yao cannot be a legit first option. Ron is holding down his end of the bargain and more, as is the bench. If Yao does not put it together, we may be searching for a FIRST option this summer...

Artest is man's man. His explanation about the situation and things in general was absolutely on point. Respect, Toughness, Ron Artest.

You think him dribbling into traffic and wasting shot clock, as he did multiple times in the fourth quarter, is playing smart? Alright.

The Rockets had an opportunity to really take control of the series. A lot of fans here seem satisfied with the split and us showing "toughness". I'm more concerned about all the damn turnovers and the confused offense against the Lakers pressure defense.
