Apart from backup centre, the most needed area is an impact scoring 6th man who can create for himself.

    e.g
    Harden
    JR Smith
    Al HArrington
    Terry

    any suggestions

    Sign Brooks or JR Smith

    Not consistent enough......
Hope it is a combination of Lee, Bud, Patt on some nights and Dragic

Dragic has basically been playing that role & doing a pretty decent job of it. I would say we need a starting SF and a backup center more than we need a 6th man off the bench.

6th man is a luxury spot for teams that are contending...

I would think Lee is our 6th man. He can make shots, he can create his own shot, and can run the point. I would be comfortable with him starting at the 2 if we ever trade Martin.

We lack a superstar first. That should be our top priority. A scoring 6th man can wait.

Our entire bench is our 6th man. Lee, Budinger, Dragic all score. And what's great is that none of them has to do it every night. Out of all of them, though, Lee is the frontrunner. The guy can start on any good team without a star SG.

Personally I think Patterson can develop into a six man type of role, ala Landry although his offensive game is still very far from Landry's.

He just needs time... his jump shot is already there, he just needs the rest of his offensive game to catch up...

Lee, Dragic and C-bud are technically all the same player: starting caliber wings.

This makes them great options off the bench or if the starters are injured, but we're still lacking that 6th man scorer, guys like Landry, Brooks, Barbosa or Barrera who can come in and become a game changer for 10-20 mins a night and either become the focus of the offense of the 2nd unit or give Lowry a breather and set everyone up.

If only we kept Lin I think he really could have filled that role us, as is we need a backup pg badly. Dragic isn't really a pg, so even if he's in the game Lowry still has to play 40 mins a night cuz no one can set up plays for the entire team.
