It's AMAZING the free pass TMac gets around here. It's a funny world when Kobe freakin Bryan gets more hate than McGrady, and Kobe is a million times more a winner and leader than TMac EVER will be.

Don't worry basketball is only about making shots. Anyone can run the offense efficiently.

do you rafer supporters realize that teams are leaving rafer wide open to double other players????

He CAN't hit WIDE open SHOTS!!!!!!!

    He CAn't make a layup.

The only thing rafer is good at is stroking JVG's ego. And that's why jvg keeps praising him.

jvg has too much ego. you don't bench player b/c he asked for more playing time.

5 mins of luther head trying to handle the ball is enough to make me miss rafer. rafer just can't shoot.

this is why I wanted to sign Derek Fisher after we did the tmac deal in 04. he would have fit well.

Rafer "Coach, you're the best... I'll do whatever you say."

JVG "shoot lots of floaters. I'll keep playing ya."

I cant stand watching rafer on the court. He is a horrible player. He is robbing the rockets. Nobody should get paid for doing what he does. He cant shoot, think, pass, defend! Anybody who defends this big time loser is a joke just like he is. All the years I have been watching the Rockets he makes me the most nervous. I would rather have Dikembe running point or maybe Van Gundy. We will not win a thing with this idiot handling the point. He has no brain. Cant we send him back to the hood? I wish we could I cant stand this loser. I hope I never see that fool in public!!! Trade Rafer for a piece of gum. Can we buy this loser out? I will pitch in some cash out of my own pocket. I will actually work overtime just to see this loser out of here. I could talk about how Wafer Losston has no skills all day all night for the rest of my life.

WE HAVE NO OTHER OPTIONS. Spanoulis is awful. If you think rafer can't shoot then wait till you see spanoulis. Lucas can't run the team. The offense has no flow when he is in. He also can't guard anyone. We can try to get somebody better next year. For now rafer is the best we have by far. He can get the job done.

Dude, Kobe is all about HIMSELF. If he gave a flip about winning he would've buried the hatchet with Shaq and he would have 2 or 3 MORE rings! Now, it Kobe and the 4 satellites. One man can't do it alone! T-Mac actually is a playmaker and tries to work within the framework of the team. Same with Yao at times they probably defer too much and don't take the bull by the horns enough. T-Mac needed to play larger today. Yao needs to dunk MORE! Less finger rolls ...

Oh yeah, like that would work. Think Reefer can't guard multiply futility times 100 with Baloney.

That would be valid if Span was forced to take EXACTLY the same shots as Rafer (and even then, I'm not so certain)... This doesn't have to be the case though now does it?

Where do you think his past statlines come from? Do you think they were made up?

His euroleague average for 2pt shots last year was 62%...His 3s (euro 3s...I'll give you that) were 37%... Averaging 15 points in 28 mins

During the later euroleague stages (well known fact that the more competitive/important the game, the better Span plays) his AVERAGE stats were 71%(!!!) and 43%....Try and tell me that he can't shoot ...Or do you think he suddenly forgot how to play basketball?

His FT are at a pretty much consistent 80%....

Anyway... None of this stuff matters cause according to greek press today, Span is almost certainly going back to europe....I'll translate the relevant article in a bit....

Wrong, this is NOT just one game. It's a game lost to Utah, you have not even bothered to look at the rest of Rockets schedual.

I can't defend Rafer's play in this game. It was horriffic. It was one of the worst decisions I've ever seen a PG make.

I still think he's a decent player and he can start. But I think we need a strong, veteran backup so we can yank him out of the game whenever he's playing like an idiot.

You really had me there for one moment Clutch, Rafer as our starting point guard, hilarious! That's like saying Ryan Bowen came back on our team and signed a 50 million 6 year contract! :D :D :D :D Oh man, Clutch you crack me up..............................Now, heh, seriously, who's the team's starting point guard again?

Nothing special here. Alston making the wrong decision and choking again.
The Rox are gonna suffer in the playoff's if he keeps it up.

I don't care that he was open, Rafer Alston needs to get that ball in the hands of a shooter or yao/t-mac with the game on the line. He has to understand who the heck he is and play within himself. It was a good shot in the sense he was open, it was a bad shot in the sense he is an erratic shooter who was 2-9 to that point, the ball never touched Yao's hands and there were still 8 seconds left.

In fact, Yao was the one dominating the game, why in the world did he not get to touch the ball with the game hanging in the balance?
