I wasn’t on this train but it’s pretty clear he is a bad fit with Jalen. Unfortunately, I don’t think he has much trade value.
I keep seeing this, and i dont really agree to be honest. KPJ not only has been given the keys, but the car hes driving has no tread on its tires and the airbags dont work. With a halfway decent backup point guard behind him (was all about going in for Rubio during the offseason), and some of the slack being given to him would actually help his development. Lets not pretend that the team is that much better without him. Or that when he sits, DJ Augustine has saved the game for the team. With a decent backup guard to help him along the way, KPJ will become one of the better point guards in the next few years. Will he be an all star/all nba player? Probably not. Will he be good enough to be a starting point guard a playoff team? I think so.
He has potential to be an all-star wing, so why settle for him being a decent starter at the point? It's stupid.
Was it the 50 point game? I was thinking that he was not going to repeat that for a while. His stats do not look good early on this year.
KPJ's shooting percentage has to improve at some point. This season is a career low for him, and too many nights he finishes with 30% or lower FG%.
He’s looking real good Theis is a damn warlock Helps to have 3 knock down shooters and Wood to run pick and roll with.
One positive I take from this is that his teammates were pulling for him and went out if their way to make it happen.
Yes he is, and is developing very quickly. He still makes mistakes, but he has 23 assists in his last 2 games, he is really getting it down and is making some amazing passes too. DD
Don’t pretend like Westbrook didn’t average a triple double in a season and have Adams clearing out for him to get meaningless rebounds several times a game. It’s a nice gesture to a teammate on a squad of young guys who need to help raise each other up. This is what building chemistry looks like for a very young team.
Steady improvements. If Silas wasn't so insistent on playing two Centers the KPJ/JG combo would have been nuclear by now...
