How long has it been since a Rocket was leading rebounder?

Great job Luis. Keep it going.
    By far the best Rocket.

Personally I believe we dodged a bullet with Chris Bosh.

I don't care if we're last in every statistical categorically as long as that categorically isn't W/L.

All those missed shots by us give Luis a lot to rebound.

    :)

Good job by our Passion Assassin.

Mostly because 1-3, outside of Budinger and Lowry, doesn't rebound like it should.

If your guards are getting a lot of rebounds you are not a good rebounding team.

He still can't let his man take wide open jumpshots and he needs to get all-important rebounds in the 4th.

    Really?

Alston and T-Mac got a lot of rebounds and we were a great rebounding team always top of the list.

With the speed with play we should get more rebound from our guards, AB and Kevin are under 6 combined that is awful. The problem is neither this two guys have average better in their careers. That will put to much weight on our Bigs especially vs long rebounds.

Alston is a pretty tall PG and Mac was really a SF who played SG.

He needs more looks on offense. He is way too useful as a midrange shooter and post player to be ignored while our guards dribble the ball to death.

But saying if your guards are getting a lot of rebounds you are not a good rebounding team is not true.

Top teams today in Rebound differential.
    Orlando +13
    Guards avg. 52.1MPG 6.1RPG

    Chicago +6
    Guards avg. 61MPG 8.6RPG

    Toronto+6
    Guards avg. 54MPG 6.8RPG

    Houston -0.25
    Guards avg. 66.1MPG 5RPG

Cmon Kevin Martin 2.5rpg IN 33+ mpg? and he is not small as a SG, almost every top defensive rebounded team have his SG avg over 4rpg.

Reason our gaurds dont want to rebound as much is cuz they think the big guys got it
i think coach told them once the guy they are supposed to gaurd misses the shot they're supposed to run down the court....

I think some people in here are blaming guards poor rebounding to deliberately shift attention from Yao. He needs to rebound the ball better when he is on the floor. Health or not, it is inexcusable not to grab the obvious rebounds for your starting c,enter.

This. Congrats Scola and keep it up. Scola is not a very good defensive player but if he does not over commit in the perimeter trying to help Brooks then he should be able to recover and cover his man. Nevertheless, keep working on your defense big guy.

Oh, and Brooks and co. try to always look for Scola if you want to win, he is almost always open and in position to score. Try to see if any or your team mates are open before you try your own shot and maybe you will get more appreciation from your coaches and fans.

Or because Scola is leaving his man to roam the paint/basket...he's in better position to rebound defensively. His off rebounds increased by just over one, his defensive rebounds went up by 4. The blame falls on the lack of height/rebounding inside at the 5 spot, not the backcourt...it seems like he picks up most of his rebounds when yao sits, especially late in games.

Budinger also isn't rebounding that well on average... He's a streaky rebounder and seems to rebound well when he's looking to. He's had two 1 rebound games this year, both times playing at least 20 mins.

Hayes has been averaging just over 3 boards in 20 mins a game...that's where the extra 2-3 rebounds we think Brooks/martin should try to get really should be going. As Adelman plays hill, miller, and jefferies more, especially when chuck isn't rebounding well, this should solve itself. Damp will help as well.
